Explore the Amsterdam AreaTo truly experience Amsterdam, go beyond the borders of the city centre and discover the Amsterdam Area! Combine your I amsterdam City card with the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket – a special public transport ticket valid on trains, metros, trams and buses operated by NS, GVB, Connexxion and EBS in the metropolitan area of Amsterdam Region.
Explore Authentic HaarlemA city of remarkable history and culture, Haarlem is just a short hop from Amsterdam but a world away. With spectacular monuments dating back almost 800 years, such as the Amsterdamse Poort and Sint-Bavokerk, it’s no wonder that so many great artists of the Golden Age wanted to capture its beauty and atmosphere.
Explore Old HollandWith its countless windmills, churches and old-fashioned farmhouses, stepping into Old Holland can feel like being in a Golden Age painting. The historical towns offer traditional craftsmanship, showcasing the skills the region was famous for: shipbuilding, fishing and cheese-making.
Explore Castles & GardensJust a hop, skip and a jump away from Amsterdam, you’ll find a land of historical fortresses, a desolated island, chivalric castles and country estates with acres of beautifully manicured gardens. Unleash your inner knight, damsel or fairy-tale villain at these impressive locations.
