(a) %ut a strip of polymeri! membrane 27 !m in width and length eual to the perimeter of the drain adding 1: !m forthe overlapping. /lame bonds the part of the strip to be inserted into the drain. i.e. approx. 17 !m.

(b) %ut the protruding end of the drain strip verti!ally upwards with the aid of a heated trowel into as may slits as are

ne!essary to then be able to press it downwards and flame bond it to the surrounding roof de!&. *hen with thehelp of the trowel and tor!h go over the exterior of the drain to obtain an even spread of the asphalt and fill in allthe pores.

(e) *he last step is to go over the inside of the drain leveling of the surfa!e. *he drains shall be at least 17 mm lowerthan the substrata so that the extra thi!&ness !aused by the various layers of the polymeri! membrane do not!ause unne!essary ponding of water.
