Creation of the model can be done in 3 steps.

create basic 3d model in Rhynoceros1. Draw plans 2. Arrange the plans according to the heights3. Create facade surfaces using plans geometry4. Draw edges, needed for applying components

create inner skin using RHIKNOWBOT1. Draw facades like a set of closed curves on a plane2. The RHIKNOWBOT command 2D TO 3D allows to apply this curves to the surfaces of the model3. The RHIKNOWBOT command PUNCH makes the volume of walls from surfaces

create outer skin using Grasshopper1. The shape has 2 types of components - flat and bended metal surfaces2. First step - analysis of the facade, which allows to define surfaces covered with each type of component3. Second step - take the edges of surfaces, divide them into equal parts, draw the lines connect-ing this points4. According to the type of component, extrude the lines along straight path or loft them using attractor point

1. Take edges2. Divide edges into parts with equal length3. Create lines going through the points on edges4. Create component A - extrude lines straight along the needed distance

Create the arches - find the center point of each line - move the center point out of the surface - draw arch through the points on edges and moved center points5. Loft the surface of component B from the arch (p.4) and lines (p.3)

Critics on the method:.

create inner skin using RHIKNOWBOT1. The program is working well with rectangular facades and allows fast and presized transition from 2d drawing to model’s surfaces2. With not flat surfaces there are some difficulties in exact transition from 2d to 3d - the basic shapes can be deformed.

create outer skin using Grasshopper1. The method is working both with straight and arched component, basicly component changes only in 2 curved facades. Rectangular facades are composed with repetition of one element.2. In Zentralles Stellwerk there are only 2 types of components, which are the same at all sur-faces. In Grasshopper there is possibility to apply different factors or attractors, which will provide parametric changig of each component depending not only on facade shape. Can be changed the size and direction of the openings, the thikness of the basic stripe.
