NEW! Three Star Golf Camp Welcome to the newest addition to the 3Point Athletics and Evanston Recreation Division summer golf program! The Three Star Golf Camp is geared toward our younger, less experienced players. We will familiarize the campers with the rules of golf and proper golf course etiquette, while also introducing the basic skills of the golf swing. We will focus on putting, chipping, and pitching before “graduating” to longer, fuller swings with irons and woods. At the end of camp, we will put all of our knowledge to use when the instructors take the campers to play a few holes on the course. The camp will culminate in playing on the golf course with the instructors in order to incorporate all of our skills learned during the week. Each camp will be split into Beginner and Intermediate/ Advanced groups. The Beginners will have little to no playing experience and are fairly new to the game of golf. The Intermediate/Advanced group should have attended previous 3Point Athletics Golf Camps/Classes or have received formal golf instruction. These campers should be proficient in the fundamental skills and knowledge of the game, as these will be the basis of more advanced skill work introduced throughout the week. Five Star Golf Camp
Let’s hit the links! The Five Star Golf Camp is for the more advanced players who want to focus on lowering their scores and fine tuning their golf game. It is limited to players with at least two years of on-course playing experience or golf camp attendance.
Campers should have a comfortable understanding of the full golf swing, from grip to finish. We will be fine-tuning the fundamental skill sets of putting, chipping and full swings, while also focusing on club choice, positioning and overall course management. The Five Star Golf Camp will be playing on the course the majority each week with the instructors. Aqua Golf Adventures Mini-CampChandler-Newberger Center, 1028 Central St.
This new camp will combine the fun of water parks with the excitement of Adventure Golf! Each day, campers will test their putt-putt skills on different miniature golf courses throughout the Chicagoland area, and when finished they will cool off with the fun of a water park! In addition, on Thurs-days, July 11 and August 1, campers will enjoy a fun-filled trip to Great America, including Hurricane Harbor!
Admission to each adventure (including Great America), trans-portation and a camp T-shirt are included in the camp fee. The camp will be limited to 14 participants with two college-aged supervisors.
