1 Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Insti tute (JKEDI) (An Organization of Government of Jammu & Kashmir) Youth Start- Up Loan Sch eme Business Plan Submissions: Terms and Conditions All Submissions due by 4pm on July 15, 2012 The Youth Start-Up Loan Scheme is a part of (SKEWPY) that aims to boost youth start-up entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir. The Scheme provides youth (aged 18-37 years) interested in entrepreneurship with an opportunity to develop and share their business ideas in the form of a business plan, receive training and financial support and an opportunity to compete and gain useful experience needed to translate a business idea into action to start their own business. The Process: 1. Fill out the application form and submit it back with a completed business plan in the provided prescribed format at JKEDI offices, at Sempora, pampore, Jammu or Leh, Ladakh. ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE DU E BY 4pm on 15 July, 2012. 2. All applications will then be reviewed and successful applications will be shortlisted on the basis of objective scoring criteria. JKEDI will notify you within 2 weeks of the deadline, if your plan has been accepted/not accepted through phone and email. 3. The shortlisted applicants with viable business plans will participate in a on e day Boot Camp to receive training on business planning and presentation thereafter. The shortlisted applicants will have a chance to receive live feedback on their business plans and tips on strengthening their ideas. 4. All the s hortlisted candidates will then hav e a c hance to i mprove and re-work their business plans. 5. Re-submission of revised completed business plans in 2nd week of August 2012. 6. Live events & present ation of business plans by the eligible youth in front of an expert panel of judges and a live audience in August 2012. 7. Selection of 150 applicants with the most viable and profitable business plans. 8. Training & business start-up support to the finalists by JKEDI and Mercy Corps.
