Spring Break Afternoon CampsGadgets & Gizmos LEGO (ages 6-12)Do you know a LEGO-loving kid? This half-day Spring Break camp involves building with LEGOS, adding gears, axles, motors, battery packs and using models, such as the Optical Spinner, Optical Illusion, Centrifuge-Spin Art, Paper Crinkler and more. Participants will build models in pairs, modifying if they wish. Along the way, campers will learn architecture and engineering skills. Creative free play with LEGO bricks, computer games, and LEGO Wii will round out the week. All materials are included. Spring Break Camps—Off CampusSpring Break With the Stars: Astronomy Camp for Teens (ages 13-15)Spend part of spring break gazing at brilliant skies and exploring astronomy. Our trip will begin at the Lodestar Planetarium in Albuquerque. From there, travel by van to Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge, located 20 miles north of Soccoro. Activities include star gazing, interaction with astronomers and scientists, a fieldtrip to the Very Large Array, hands-on astronomy activities, movie nights and more. Supervision, activities, entrance fees, meals and lodging are included.
