Unique expertise After more than 40 years in the plastics industry, Lycro has built up unique competence in the development

and manufacture of injection molding tools and injection -molded plastic components. Our products have

won design awards both in Norway and abroad.

All our plastic components are made at our factory in Leksvik. In collaboration with our company in China,

which produces the molds, we can assure full quality control throughout the entire production process.

Lycro aims to be the preferred choice within its segment. By producing moulding tools in China and the

plastic components in Norway, we unite the best of both worlds. Our customer proximity means that we can

Lycro SAFE – safe molds from China

In our Lycro SAFE concept we manufacture molds for pipe com-ponents based on many years of experience in the manufacture of molding tools for pipe fittings. Our brand name SAFE implies that our products represent a safe buy for our customers. The molds are designed by Lycro according to customer specifications and comply with European standards and requirements.

The molds are constructed at our factory in China and then shipped to Lycro in Norway for integrating with our production philosophy. Our customers are therefore assured the cheapest and best molding tools for their pipe fittings. This ensures that all requirements to quality, tolerance and cycle times are fulfilled and that the molds work as they should before being handed over to the customer.

Lycro STREAM – machines for the plastic pipes industry

In our Lycro STREAM concept we construct and manufac-ture i ndustry-recognized special machinery for the plastic pipes industry. Rotation welding of injection-molded sockets is the best and most secure method of making sockets for pipes. The machines are adapted to suit customer requirements while still making optimum use of standard modules and components.

Lycro STREAM also manufactures related products such as turning devices, leak testers and automation equipment. Lycro has devel-oped three new full electric rotation welding machines using the latest control and robot technology. We also make fully automated pipe socketing machines for blocking pipes and inserting seals.

The story behind Capisco Puls

IIn 1984 the renowned Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik, inspired by the sitting posture of the horseback rider, launched the idea of a specially designed saddle chair. Based on the idea of a more dynamic and natural sitting position, the aim was to create as universal a sitting posture as possible.

Opsvik believed that the ergonomics experts were right; all the recommended sitting positions were good – the goal was to design a chair that allowed as many positions as possible and that made it easy to alternate between them.

Lycro is now working on developing the fourth generation of the classic saddle chair, the latest model of which is called Capisco Puls. Because the office chair is supplied without covering, the demands to the finish of the plastic components in the seat and back are extremely high.
