WELCOMEDear friend of ProcureCon,

If you think about the key functions of your job just eight years ago versus today, it’s quite a dramatic shift! We’ve seen procurement evolve from 1.0 (purchase orders, RFPs, and other tactical functions) to 2.0 (strategic sourcing and value creation), and now to 3.0 (innovation, business intelligence and revenue generation.) You’ll need a place to learn how to successfully transition to the next phase of your procurement journey.

ProcureCon Indirect East is just that place. At this year’s event, you will learn how the rise of Procurement 3.0 will elevate your procurement function beyond the strategic into a true internal business intelligence unit for your company — arming you with a comprehensive plan for implementing the latest strategic sourcing solutions through a variety of peer-led interactive sessions.

Key themes at this year’s event include:• The latest in category management techniques• Redefiningskillsetsforthenextgeneration• Innovating with key suppliers to achieve a true win-win partnership • Usingprocurementtoinfluencetop-linegrowthandgeneraterevenue• Repositioning procurement to operate in an interconnected world

ProcureCon Indirect East has a nine year track record of delivering comprehensive content from the most senior level practitioners from the world’s largest companies. In fact, this year’s speaker faculty includes 35+ CPOs and 25+ Heads of Indirect Procurement, ensuring you’ll be learning from and networking with the visionaries transforming sourcing.

I hope you’ll join us in Orlando this February to experience how shared insight and innovation can truly transform your company’s procurement organization.

Sincerely,

Frank MuseroExecutive Director, ProcureCon Events

AN INTERACTIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Presentations: These 20-minute sessions are single person, TED-style presentations to deliver case studies or to showcase expertise on a particular topic. Speakers may use slides and any other A/V, and may opt to add on a roundtable to go more in-depth on the topic, since 20 minute presentations do not have time for audience Q&A.

Panels: Panel discussions consist of 3-4 panelists and a moderator, featuring 30 minutes of moderated Q&A, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A with the audience.

Debate: The debate will consist of two participants and a moderator. Each participant will take one side of an issue, with the moderator providing questions, and allowing for rebuttals. There is no right or wrong answer, but this format allows two sides of a particular solution to a topic to be heard.

workshops, there will be a host to facilitate discussion and serve as a subject expert. However, there are no report backs, and the discussions are 2 30-minute rotations, meaning, after 30 minutes, all the attendees switch tables and select a new table to sit at for the second 30 minutes.

Working Groups: The working groups will have 2 facilitators and a maximum of 30 participants. The goal for these sessions is for the facilitators to work with the participants and come up with 5 strategies, takeaways, etc. that can easily be implementedbackintheofficetohelpsolvethe challenge of the topic. The session is only 1 hour, 10 minutes, and we’ll give you a 15 minutewarningtoensureyoufinalizethe5strategiesandgetthemontotheflipchart.After lunch, all facilitators will go up on stage topresenttheirgroup’sfindingsbacktotheentire audience.

Interactive Case Studies: Similar to a presentation, but a bit longer to include time for an interactive component. The speaker will give a roughly 15 minute case study on how they’ve gone about tackling the topic. The remaining 15 minutes will have the attendees sharing their successes or challenges, with the room helping those with challenges solve them together.

CPO Network: Similar to the working groups, these are extended-session discussions with 30 CPOs or Global Heads of Indirect from large-spend companies. In these 1 hour, 20 minute sessions, generally there is 20 minutes of presentation/case study/setting the stage, followed by an hour of discussion with the participants. Pre-qualificationisrequiredforCPONetworkparticipation.

Roundtables: Roundtable discussions are small group discussions on a niche topic. Similar to

At ProcureCon Indirect East, you will not just be sitting at a table listening to people talk at you for three days. There are a variety of session formats, in large, medium and small groups, that allow you to participate so that you never feel like you're overwhelmed or bored by the agenda. Here's just a sampling of all the ways you can interact with PIE.
