Summer• Talk to your family about your goals and top college choices. This is a good

time to celebrate your accomplishments, narrow down your choices, and discuss finances.

• Connect with an admission counselor at each of your top schools. Developing a relationship early with a representative will help you navigate the admission, financial aid, and scholarship application process.

• Create a timeline and checklist of application, financial aid, and scholarship deadlines at each of your top colleges so you can stay on track.

• Talk to your friends about their college exploration. You might gain some valuable information and may even consider planning a college visit as a group.
