WELCOME TO ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO!

The International Internet Leathercrafters’ Guild would like to welcome you to the 2011 Leather Fiesta. We are thrilled that you have come to enjoy the festivities!

Let the party begin as our show kicks off on Thursday with a Welcome Reception and entertainment by “Rock Bottom Blues” from Taos, New Mexico.

There are lots of things going on throughout the show – classes, games, contests, and demonstrations – something for everyone.

• We have a nice mix of classes with something for everyone. Get to spend time with some of our leathercraft greats as they share their knowledge and expertise.

• The Raffle Table will have lots of cool stuff so buy plenty of tickets. • Stop at the Guild Displays and cast your vote for your favorite one. • The dealers will also be here – see what they’ve got to offer. • The Competition Room will be open Saturday morning for your drooling pleasure and

picture taking. • The Swap Meet will be a fun time to bring your items to sell or barter.

We’re planning a very special Banquet and Awards Ceremony on Saturday – it will be a night to remember! The Mariachi group “Nuevo Sonido” will entertain you as you enjoy a savory buffet filled with New Mexico flavors. We have also prepared a few special awards that many will be proud to receive as we all celebrate together.

There’s so much to see and do in “The Land of Enchantment,” and we want you to enjoy every minute of your visit. Take a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, or sail the sky in a hot air balloon flight; take a stroll through Old Town, or ride the Rail Runner to Santa Fe. Try the chile, red or green – or Christmas if you want both! If you want to go shopping, the Coronado Mall and ABQ Uptown are less than a mile away. It’s important to note that Albuquerque has an elevation of over 5000 feet. Because the air is thinner, you may become tired faster. Please drink a lot of water to keep your body hydrated – this is a desert climate!

We are immensely grateful to everyone that worked on putting the show together – the other committee chairs, the guild members, and our volunteers that came from near and far. We put a lot of heart and effort into bringing you a great show.

Again, from all of us at the IILG, welcome and let’s party!
