We would like to congratulate our 2019 Santee Cooper Credit Union Scholarship Winners, Makenzie Camlin (Berkeley High School), Savannah Whetzel (Berkeley High School), and Aaron Freer (Socastee High School). These scholarship winners were judged based on thefollowing criteria: an essay, school and community involvement, overall GPA, and a personal statement. Each student was awarded $1,000 to use towards the cost of continuing their education this fall.

SCCU would like to wish each of them the best of luck as they start the next chapter in their lives.

OUR NEW WEBSITE IS HERE!We are excited to say that our new website launched on June 17, 2019. The website has a fresh look featuring new and updated content. With the new site, you can find electronic copies of past newsletters, information on our loan protection products, financial calculators, financial articles about various topics as well as a built in ATM Locator to help you find the closest surcharge-free ATMs nearest you.

Another great feature of the new design is that the website is now responsive, which makes it so much easier to view on your mobile phone or tablet. A responsive design means that the screen will adjust to the device you are viewing it on.

During the Annual Meeting, elections were held for the Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee. William Finn, Susan Jackson, Karen Whaley, Clayton Mauldin, Thomas Edens, and Lauren Christensen were all ap-proved by a unanimous decision to serve as a Board or Committee Member. Our Board Chairman, William Finn, discussed the launch of the new Santee Cooper Credit Union website, the conclusion of a research project on a new Data Processor, which means that SCCU will migrate to an upgraded system in the upcoming year, and the completion of a Strategic Planning Session that was held in 2018. If you would like to pick up a copy of the 2018 Annual Report that was distributed during the Annual Meeting, please feel free to stop by one of our branches. We will have copies available in the lobby.
