Dear Friend,

It is with great excitement that we present to you this year’s guide of summer programming.

The Hamptons are well known for its beautiful beaches, expansive estates, and high profile residents. There are some “secrets” in the Hamptons too, those of us who are here long enough are privileged to know them. YOU are clearly privileged to know the secret of Chabad, why else would you be holding this guide?!

Our secret is one that you can share; tell your friends that there is love, warmth, generosity, and acceptance here. Tell them there is something here that will spark their mind, touch their soul, and nourish their body. Our secret will excite everyone you know, at all ages and stages of life.

We look forward to seeing you (and your friends!) soon,

Tanya is the fundamental text of Chabad Chassidic philosophy, written by the movement’s founder, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi in the 18th century; Tanya’’ is the initial word of the book, which is also called Likkutei Amarim (“Collected Discourses’’) and Sefer shel Beinonim (“The Book of the Intermediates’’)

Tanya is a “one size fits all” life manual and compacts four millennia of Jewish wisdom to answer the great personal and existential questions of life. It has revolutionized the way we think about G‑d, the human soul, the world and our place in it.

During the terror‑filled years of 1973‑1976 Sassy Reuven served in the IDF’s elite “Red Beret” paratrooper unit. He participated in several covert operations in Israel’s mighty struggle against Arab terrorism.

In July of 1976, Sassy participated in the famed Entebbe counter‑terrorist hostage‑rescue mission code named “Operation Thunderbolt”, flying thousands of miles over enemy territory to rescue Jewish hostages being held by terrorists in Uganda.

His story is Israel’s story: of courage, endurance, defiance and a willingness to sacrifice it all for the right to live in your homeland in freedom.

As a performer with an uncanny sensitivity for the smallest of details, Daniel can come to know everything about you, with even the slightest gaze. What did you have for breakfast? Who is lying and who is telling the truth? Even things you have long forgotten, are not beyond Daniel’s reach. Bear in mind that this is not just another standard telepathy show. Unlike most mentalists who showcase their abilities, Daniel’s show revolves around people, so everybody takes part.

The show is an interactive experience that incorporates full audience participation. A virtuoso demonstration of skill that will make your jaw drop with astonishment and your stomach hurt with laughter. A show that will send you on your way with one word in mind – amazing!

Bridging the gap between fiction and reality, this modern

day Sherlock Holmes will provide you with an evening of

suspense, awe, and excitement.

Moully’s work has been featured in galleries and private collections throughout the US, Canada, and Australia.

Rabbi Moully was born in Australia, the son of a couple he describes as “hippy parents.” While he never went through formal art training, he was always passionate about photography as an outlet of self-expression. About 10 years ago he discovered silk-screen printing, which allowed him to print brilliantly colored images in a style calls Hasidic pop art.

As a youth rabbi in New Jersey, he sees his work as a way to share his view of the Hasidic lifestyle and dispel images that it is rigid. Moully challenges preconceived notions. His art allows for an innovative way to exchange interpretations. The artist’s work is the perfect platform for him to channel his energetic ideas, which translate into thought-provoking images.

“There’s so much color on the inside,” he said. “There’s so much personality. It really is an approachable way of life.”

For more than 50 years, the vast majority of the world’s most prominent archaeologists and historians have proclaimed that there is no hard evidence to support the Exodus story found in the Bible. Filmmaker Timothy Mahoney begins his in-depth investigation with the question, “Is the Bible just a myth, or did the archaeologists get it wrong?” He decides to tackle this issue with a deliberate scientific approach. After examining the details in the biblical text, he journeys across the globe to search for patterns of evidence firsthand. The result is the most in-depth archaeological investigation into the Exodus from Egypt ever captured on film.
