    Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership Named after alumnus General Colin L. Powell, former United States Secretary of State. His commitment to democracy and freedom has changed our world.

    The School builds on its exceptionally strong tradition in the social sciences to provide students with a living laboratory in which to study and conduct research in their chosen fields. As a student at the School you will examine why individuals, groups, governments, institutions and tribes do what they do, and use your knowledge to further powerful, positive change. The School secured over 200 internship placements for students in 2015 at a variety of corporate, government, and non-profit organizations in New York City and Washington, DC.
