COMPANY BACKGROUND

Swift Energy Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated on 19th June 2000 in Malaysia at the turn of the new millennium and commenced operation in November 2001.

The primary business objective is to provide solution base engineering design, electrical and instrumentation

equipment as well as engineering services to the chosen market segment and excel through market driven

services.

Swift Energy is registered with the Ministry of Finance and Petronas Berhad to qualify the company as an

approved vendor to participate in the upstream and downstream of Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects

in Malaysia. Swift Energy also receives good support from MIDA for its export manufacturing activity.

The main market segment of Swift Energy is the Oil and Gas & Marine; Edible Oils Industries and General

Industries.

Since its inception, Swift Energy has grown by leap and bound and at present, Swift Energy has 8 subsidiary

companies located both in Malaysia and overseas. Its customer base has also expanded from being within

Malaysia initially to over 40 countries currently and this continues to grow in the near future.

Tan Bin Chee, founding partner of the Swift Group has over 30 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry

having held positions in engineering sales and finally as Division Manager of a public listed company’s

subsidiary before embarking on establishing Swift Energy in the year 2000. He continues to actively market

the products and services of Swift Energy.

Chin Saw Yong, partner with over 28 years experience, established the Control Systems Integration business

as Swift Solutions MSC in August 2001. Swift Solutions MSC allows the group to tap the vast potential

envisioned in the Edible Oils refining market. He has held the position of Project Manager serving clients in

the edible oils process market before his venture with Swift Solutions MSC.

Jamal bin Sawi, partner with more than 25 years experience, technical expertise in Public Address & General

Alarm System (PAGA), CCTV, Radio Communications Equipment and Fibre Optic Equipment as well as

managing project for Oil & Gas industry. Venturing into Sales for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry for

Swift Energy since June 2006.

Suzana binti Abu Bakar (Ms), partner with 23 years of administrative experience to the Group’s Human

Resource function. She began her career in Communications before embarking on an administrative path.

OPERATION MANAGEMENT

PROCESSES / SYSTEMS TO IMPROVE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

The operation of the company is organized into engineering; process control integration; manufacturing;

trading/marketing; finance and administration divisions. All the operative units are complimentary in

services and vertically integrated.

The engineering unit comprises of system integration and services, which is supported by both manufacturing

and trading units.

The centralized and integrated Sales Support and Finance department are to enhance the accuracy and

control of the key processes in Sales Management System (Sales order back log; Stock Receivable; Delivery

Order; Invoices, etc).

The company’s sales, engineering, project and manufacturing unit is certified to ISO14001 and ISO

9001:2008 by TUV.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT POLICY

We view human capital development seriously, we have formulated a prescribed training and development

plan for each employee.

We are implementing our new process to achieve this objective – “Continuous Learning Process”. This is a

process where the employee would be asked to identify an area where they would like to enhance their

knowledge and assist them in realizing this goal. The immediate manager will act as a mentor to facilitate

this process.
