Blowout Proof StemThe valves have a blowout proof stem supported by the topflange, enabling stem packing to be maintained while thevalve is under pressure.

Extended BonnetThe extended bonnet is perfect for insulating lines.Even with insulation in place, the stem flats are visible,packing adjustments are accessible, and the actuator israised away from elevated process temperatures,preventing damage to the actuator seals.

Metal SeatsMetal seats have been added as a special option for abrasive.Trim hardening alternatives including coatings and a proprietarydiffusion process are available to protect the trim from damage inextreme services.Contact YPPC for more information.

Smooth Sealing Surfaces and Hard-FacingHighly polished surfaces eliminate wearand enhance seal integrity.Electro-less Nickel Plate(ENP) prevent froma damage in cold flow.

High Strength StemThe stem is 17-4PH high strength stainless steel.

Seat MaterialThe seats are NEOFLONTM PCTFE(by Daikin) forlimited temperatures to -196℃(-321℉).

Valve TorqueDue to the nature of cryogenic fluids, valve torque canincrease as a result of freezing moisture on the ball orthermal contractions of the materials.The torque of valves at cryogenic temperaturesbehaves different to those at ambient temperatures.

Fire-Safety DesignWith the valve burned in a fire,such non-metal parts as seat, packinggasket or the like, may burn out.Then, an excessive leakage will resultso that the fire will gain headway.To prevent such situation from arising,The C6 Series ball valve is providewith a fire-safe mechanism.

Cleaning, Testing and PackingAll valve parts are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath anddegreased to ensure a high level of cleanliness andminimum moisture content.All the cryogenic ball valves are assembled in aclean room(below photos) and 100% tested withdry nitrogen or with a helium leak detector forleakage.After test, the ends are capped and the valves areindividually packed in hermetically sealedpolyethylene.

Features & Benefits

Clean room for purified poly-silicon, food & drug, semi-conductor and critical oxygen serviceThe parts are sent to the clean room. Authorized personnel wearing lint free clothing and gloves inspect the parts,After assembly and testing with clean and dry air, the valves are tested against external leakage using a detector.After completing the process, the valves are specially tagged and heat-sealed in polyethylene bags.

Valves can be cryogenically tested in accordance with BS6364 and Shell SPE 77/306.These standards specify the requirements for the design, manufacturing and testing of valves forcryogenic service.

During testing, the valve is immersed in liquid nitrogen and cooled to a temperature of -196℃(-321℉).Dry oil-free air or inert gas(usually helium) passes through the valve and the seat has pressure testto the maximum permissible working pressure. The valves and gland and body/closure joint arealso tested for leakage.

PCTFE seating.

Valve torques can increase as a result of freezing moisture on the valveball or thermal contractions of the materials. The torques shown includeenough safety factor for actuator sizing. They are based on maximumline pressure, at minimum temperature.
