This month we will implement our character value:
Helpfulness. We will learn about helpfulness (assisting
our friends and do what is asked of us) in our curricu-
lum through group discussion. Our theme for the
month of October is “Community and Careers.” We
will be learning about our communities and the people
who live and work in the community. Our Science and
Nature focus will be on nocturnal animals and our let-
ter focus will be Ss, Rr, Oo, and Bb. We will be doing
many art projects such as spider web painting, experi-
menting with cotton balls, and flapping owls. Show &
Tell activities are fun and enrich our classes vocabu-
lary and language development. Thank you for your
support.
Room 10 Mr. Chris and Ms. Olivia
The Character Value for this month is
Helpfulness. We will be implementing
the character value in our everyday ac-
tivities through art and role play activi-
ties. Congratulations to Allison and
Trenton on being our Character Value
kids of the month! This month we will re-
ceive brand new challenges so get ready
to take them on! Don’t forget to check
out our wish list for the scholastic book
fair and help us fill or classroom with
more awesome books! Happy Fall!
Helpfulness
tance to others.
AP-K Room 9 Ms. Kabeh
Room 9 is focusing on nocturnal animals and their
patterns of every day life. Our theme will be Com-
munity and Careers. We will be implementing our
theme through role play and group discussion.
We also will be implementing or theme through
math and manipulatives, science, art, technology
and literacy. The implementation of prop boxes
will also help with understanding our theme. Con-
sistency is key, so working with your child at
home will be beneficial to their learning and pre-
paring them for Kindergarten.
