Charlotte could share that Hanna achieved the rank of First Sergeant in the Electronic Warfare Unit of the Communications Corps. The Unit is tasked with jamming and evading enemy communications, although how they do that is, of course, classified. Hanna served for three years in the IDF. Her family was very proud of her service, although Charlotte maintains she was Hanna's biggest fan. Hannah is now taking a well deserved year off to travel before attending university. Looking back over Hannah’s time in the Israeli army Charlotte admitted she was selfishly concerned over Hanna’s safety yet proud of her accomplishments. She admired her granddaughter’s strength, her tenacity and more importantly her desire to protect Israel and her people.
