Jukebox It’s Friday night, and everybody is ready to sing loudly, and badly (and probably make fools of ourselves!) However, I don’t know the words to every single song that’s on the radio these days. Maybe you know them all, but I don’t. Each person is responsible for programming one song-clip into the jukebox. You Will Make A 45 second video (60 sec is the hard maximum) that shows the lyrics on the screen so we can karaoke along. Your clip should have a recognizable part of the song. The chorus works well. Your clip must have English school-appropriate lyrics in it. Day 1 Steps (really fast summary) 1. Pick a song 2. Download photos 3. Find the lyrics – Copy and paste them into Word 4. Collecting ResourcesMake a New FolderWe need a folder to store all this stuff. Go to My Documents/ADST8, and make a new folder called Jukebox.

Download the Song1. Find the YouTube video2. Paste in the YouTube link into a Youtube to Mp3 converter such as h2converter.com or

YoMp3Converter.com3. Click Convert 4. When you get the Download link:

Right click - Save Link As…5. Put the file on your Jukebox folder

Download Your Lyrics1. Google your song’s lyrics. Popular websites include:

http://www.songlyrics.com/ http://www.azlyrics.com/

2. Copy and paste them into a blank Word Doc.3. Save As…

Filename: SONGNAME LyricsPut it in your Jukebox folder.

Backgrounds 1. Download the album cover for your song2. Find a picture of your singer.3-5. Pick some nice & fun pictures.

*** When choosing images off Google, set your image size to At Least 2 MP so that the image quality is good.

Save them to My Documents/ADST8/Jukebox.

At Least 5 PhotosYour video needs to be made using at least 5 photos.

The first slide is your intro, the rest are for lyrics.

Slide #1 (5 seconds)Your text for this slide will be:

Your Name – Period # Artist – Song Title Album Name

Slide #2-5 (Approximately 8-12 seconds each)For the next 40 seconds of audio, your text will show the lyrics as they're being sung. If one line of the song is being sung as the transition happens, you may adjust the length of the images by a smidge.

Add LyricsUsing the Title tool, copy and paste the lyrics from the website you saved. The lyrics should match the timing of the song.
