• Incorporated on Sept. 10, 2002, the Village of Palmetto Bay is the 33rdmunicipality in Miami-Dade County.

• Known as the Village of Parks, the Village of Palmetto Bay has more than23,410 residents who enjoy its beautiful surroundings and family-orientedatmosphere.

• Palmetto Bay consists of 8.8 square miles and is situated immediately west ofbeautiful Biscayne Bay, east of the southbound center lanes of US-1, south ofSW 136th ST and North of SW 184th ST.

• In the short time span of 15 years, the Village has succeeded in creating adistinct community identity through the installation of over a 1,000 plusstreet trees of varying species.

• Recognized as a Tree City USA since 2008 and Growth City since 2011.

• Our Urban Forestry program is dedicated to planting and maintaining trees inthe Municipal, State , and County right of way and Village owned Parks withsupplemental funding sources when available.

• Completed Street Tree Master Plan in 2006

• 2006 – 2013 the Village planted trees on half section line roadways:– SW 144th Street; SW 160th Street; SW 92nd Avenue;

and SW 82nd Avenue

• Held six (6) Free Tree Giveaway Events for residents

• 2015 –Tree Inventory of Right of Way and Parks

• 2015 – Landscape Design for Phase 1, 2, 3 and 4 US-1 Corridor BeautificationProject within the boundaries of Palmetto Bay

• 2016 – Completed Phase 1 US-1 Corridor Beautification Project

• 2016- Purchased Bucket Truck for tree maintenance
