4. Can you believe that MAN is FlU't earth, and PC¥rt God, when theScriptures so plainly teach you, that "God- made man of the duet ofthe ground, and that the first man (Adam) is of the IIOrth, ecwthy? Gen.ii. 7; 1 Cor. xv. 47.- 6. Can you believe the creeds of men to be oonaistent, when they

aasert that God is "witMut partB," and yet teach you that 1M" has ap.tof God in him? which divides God into a multitude of parta.

&. can you believe that the breath God breathed into man was apart of God's very immortal nature, when the Bible says, that manand beast have" ONE BREATH?" Eccl. iii. 19, which would provethat beasts were immortal as well lUI men.

7. Can you believe that God made man's body; and put an immor-tal soul into it, when God says, that "Man becalM a living soul," andPaul says, that " The Fst man Adam 1V(U made a lmng soul!" Gen. ii.7; 1 Cor. xs, 45. It was the mcm that"became a Ut>ing soul, and notthat God put a soul into the man's body.

8. (JQnyou believe that man is immortal, when-God tells you that_ umortal! Job iv.17.

9. Can you believe that man has an immortal soul, when the Apoi-Ue teaches us that we must seek for immortalJity by patient cofttinuanceill well doing? Rom. ii. 7. Why seek for it if we have it?

These are the only places where it is used in the

when the Scriptures say, "there is no WORK, nor DEVICE, norKNOWLEDGE, nor WISDOM in the grave (Heb. Sheol, GreekJIa,dea) wliither THOU goest ?" Eccl. ix. 10.

22. Can you believe that in death men remember God, when Davidsays, "in death there is no remembranc6 of thee!" Psa. vi. 5.1

23. Can you believe that David is now in heaven, when Peter saY8,••For David is not ascended into the heavens," (Acts ii. 34), and that"le 18 both dead and buried?" (ver. 29).

24. Can you believe there is any necessity for a future judgmeotand resurrection, if man receives his reward at death? would it beconsistent to judge him at death, then take him from hell or heaveain the day of Judgment, judge him and put him right" back again,making a double judgment?

25. Can you believe that man would have a future ~tate without aresurrection, when we are told by the Apostle, that if the dead risenot, "then they who are fallen asleep in Christ ARE PERISHED?"

26. Can you believe that Palil expected to have a future life, or bewith Christ, without a resurrection, after having said, "what a4va1ltagetkit me if the dead rue not, let us eat and drink ~or to-morrow ~ die!" 1Cor. xv. 32. J

28. Can you believe that eternal life was given to us through ourparents, when the Scriptures say, "the gift of God is eternal life throughov.r Lord Jesus Christ?" Rom. vi._23. -
