You are at a party. Your friend Jane, who is clearly intoxicated, is talking to a cute guy.
The guy brings Jane another drink. As he walks by, you hear him say to a friend, “Score. One more drink will be enough to bag this one.”
Later, with his arm around her, the guy starts to lead Jane upstairs to his bedroom.

Keep Your Friends Safe No one wants to be a victim
No one wants to get expelled, pay a fine, or go to jail
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION
Why me? Won’t someone
else help out?
Beware: Diffusion of Responsibility The more bystanders, the less likely someone
will get involved
People often assume someone else will take the initiative
Don’t assume someone else will step up
BYSTANDER INTERVENTION
But how do I get involved?
It could be awkward!
