MARCH - APRIL 2016 In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, prolonged one pointedness or concentration is called dharana. The practice of prolonged awareness is called dhyana. According to Master Choa Kok Sui, “Meditation” can be used to mean “the practice of prolonged awareness”, or “spiritual practice” or “spiritual cultivation”. It is called sadhana in Sanskrit. There must be a proper balance between one- pointedness and awareness during one's sadhana. In essence meditation is the practice that helps the Incarnated Soul achieve union with the Higher Soul. In Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, MCKS has designed a system whereby an ordinary person can start meditating and achieve Divine Union in a way that is safe and easy to do. To put more simply, meditation is a stepping stone for anyone embarking on his or her spiritual quest. Before delving into the various kinds of meditations taught in Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, It is interesting to reflect on why one should meditate. According to GMCKS, “The purpose of meditation in the long run is to achieve oneness with your higher soul.” As one meditates, and regularly practices character building, a greater quantity of soul energy gradually descends into the incarnated soul. This purifies the lower chakras of their negative tendencies and regulates them. In this manner, one’s evolutionary process is speeded up. In Basic Pranic Healing, the student is taught the Meditation on Twin Hearts. In Arhatic Yoga Preparatory I known as the Achieving Oneness with the Higher Soul course, the student is taught Meditation on the Higher Soul, and in Arhatic Yoga Preparatory II- Arhatic Dhyan and the Kundalini Yoga meditations are taught. These four meditations put together, form a synthesis of various techniques of ‘yoga’, where yoga refers to ‘union’ of the incarnated soul with the higher soul. The Meditation on Twin Hearts correlates with the practice of Bhakti Yoga, the Meditation on the Blue Pearl correlates with the practice of Raja Yoga, Arhatic Dhyan with Dhyan Yoga, while Kundalini Yoga meditation taught by GMCKS correlates with the ancient practice of Kundalini Yoga. The Higher Soul is a combination of Divine Light, Divine Love and Divine Power. To develope these three aspects in a balanced way and to enable greater soul connection, the practitioner needs to practice all the meditations diligently and regularly. Additionally, the physical and breathing exercises taught by GMCKS, that must be performed before meditating, correlate with Hatha Yoga. Meditation on Twin Hearts The Meditation on Twin Hearts is a simple, yet powerful technique that aims at achieving peace and illumination. It works on the physical, mental and spiritual levels and opens or activates the Heart chakra and the Crown chakra. However activating the Crown chakra is not enough, one must know the technique of illumination, which is revealed in this meditation. Meditating on the OM and the gap between the OMs allows the practitioner to achieve Oneness with the Higher Soul, enabling him to draw down a trememdous amount of divine energy. This divine energy enters the body through the crown chakra and flushes out negative energies, thoughts and emotions in the aura, thereby making the aura cleaner and brighter. In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, prolonged one pointedness or concentration is called dharana. The practice of prolonged awareness is called dhyana. According to Master Choa Kok Sui, “Meditation” can be used to mean “the practice of

prolonged awareness”, or “spiritual practice” or “spiritual cultivation”.

According to Master Choa Kok Sui, just as we take a shower everyday, “Practicing the Meditation on Twin Hearts is like taking a spiritual shower. When your aura is clean, you experience a higher level of awareness, you see through things more clearly. Even your good luck increases.”This meditation serves as a foundation for the other meditations because by practicing the Twin Hearts meditation, one’s crown chakra gets activitated, which in turn allows for a greater downpour of divine energy. The Meditation on Twin Hearts develops the ‘Love’ aspect of the soul.

Meditation on the Blue PearlThe Meditation on the Blue Pearl, also known as Meditation on the Higher Soul is a technique that allows the practitioner to accelerate the union of the incarnated soul with the higher soul. The essence of this meditation is to concentrate and be aware of the “seed of consciousness” or the “blue pearl” located at the centre of the head. By practicing the same, one achieves the first stage of Soul Realization, where the disciple experiences he is not the body. He also experiences his buddha nature, the true nature of atma or the soul which is basically that of spiritual light. He experiences his consciousness radiating in all directions, and himself or herself as a being of light, traveling in all directions throughout a certain realm in the inner universe. On the second level of Soul Realization, the practitioner experiences greater oneness with the Higher Soul. He may experience a series of expansion of light followed by a dark void. This however comes with regular practice of the meditation along with inner purification. This meditation develops the ‘Will’ aspect of the soul.

Arhatic DhyanThe purpose of Arhatic Dhyan is to develop the capacity for prolonged awareness. In order to make effective contact with the Higher Soul, one not only has to concentrate, but also has to be aware, so that subtle messages from the Higher Soul can be registered by the practitioner. According to Master Choa Kok Sui, Arhatic Dhyan is “a practice of prolonged awareness to increase sensitivity. Prolonged awareness enables you to register spiritual experiences.” Regular practice of the meditation also enables the practitioner to reach a state of inner calmness and stillness.

Meditation on the Inner Breath or Kundalini Yoga MeditationFormulated by Master Choa Kok Sui, the Meditation on Inner Breath, or Arhatic Kundalini meditation is a safe and powerful technique that uses divine energy to safely awaken one’s kundalini energy located at the base of the spine. The purposes of practicing this meditation are:

− to develop the will apect of the Soul− to accelerate the evolution of the Soul− to accelerate the evolution of the physical body

The regular and systematic cleansing and energising of the energy channels, the aura and chakras in this meditation helps to proportionally balance the chakras, resulting in the physical body’s ability to handle greater amounts of subtle energies. According to GMCKS, “The purpose of awakening the kundalini energy is to upgrade your physical body and the brain.” This is because as you practice the other meditations and purifications, your soul gradually evolves; however, your physical body too must evolve “so that it can register impressions from the higher soul” and remember inner experiences. As GMCKS explains, “The evolution of a computer software must be accompanied by the evolution of a computer hardware. We cannot use the latest programe on a computer that is 10 years old. They are not compatible.”

In this manner, the practice of the four meditations as taught in Pranic Healing & Arhatic Yoga, rapidly and safely accelerates the evolution of the soul of the practitioner. This said, meditation is only a part of a practitioner’s spiritual journey. As GMCKS said, “Spirituality is a way of life. It is not just doing meditation.” Meditation is only one of the aspects taught in Arhatic Yoga. It is by practicing all the five aspects taught in Arhatic Yoga that one's spiritual progress can be rapid and balanced. As Master Choa Kok Sui put it, “The light is always there. How much light comes in depends on you.”Sources: The Origin of Modern Pranic Healing & Arhatic Yoga by GMCKS, GLS on Creative Transformation and Beyond the Mind by GMCKS

I have been doing Twin Heart meditation for about more than three months everyday and I am amazed to see that it has made my environment vert peaceful. My relationships with my husband and daughter have become more loving. I have noticed my agitating reactions changing into peaceful responses. I feel more compassion towards others & myself. I experience more flexibility in accepting myself and others the way they are. It's the most blissful thing that has ever happened to me. I can't just skip a day without doing it. Thank you. - Shital Bhatt

Arhatic Dhyan meditation has given me amazing mental clarity and has helped in calming down the mind, enabling me to find easy solutions to otherwise complicated situations in life. - Batule Tankiwala

I meditate regularly, but my special experience was when I first practiced the Meditation on the Higher Soul. In the meditation I saw a blue light. Along with that I felt joy and inner peace. Since then, each time I practice this meditation I experience inner peace. This meditation has also helped me achieve calmness whenever I am emotionally disturbed. - Purnima Vaze

Regularly practising Kundalini Yoga has given me some of the most powerful experiences. Initially it started with increased sensitivity. I could feel the circulation of energy in the same way as guided by MCKS!! I have had profound and deep spiritual experiences during this meditation. - Srishti Govind

ACHIEVING INNER GLORY

SNIPPET: HOW TO CLEANSE A ROOM ETHERICALLY

Just as we have an energy field, the spaces we live and work in also radiate different kinds of energies, which tend to get affected by one's thoughts and emotions. “... you can also be contaminated by dirty or unwholesome mental, emotional and psychic radiatory fields. This is called psychic contamination. In some offices, there is tremendous stress. The office space is impregnated with stress energy.” - Page 13, Psychic Self Defence for Home and Office, MCKS A moment of stress, an instance of discord or disharmony or a traumatic event may

leave behind similar impressions on the surrounding spaces. This is one of the reasons why some places tend to make one feel uncomfortable, weak and even sick. Energy or psychic hygiene is as important as physical hygiene, since it affects our physical as well as psychological health and wellbeing. With the techniques given by MCKS, it is easy to cleanse a room or any enclosed area of contamination:

• One can mop the floor of the house with salt and water on a daily basis. This cleanses the floor of a lot of dirty and diseased energies.

• An incense is also used to clean a certain place. Based on experiments, incense produce specific types of energies for specific purposes. For instance, burning sandalwood produces particles of green light which has a cleansing effect. To purify a certain place, use sandalwood, sage or lavender incense. To make this technique more effective, one can simply say; “To the beings of light, thank you for purifying this place of all dirty psychic energies, negative thoughts and emotions. Thank you for doing a fantastic job.”

• One can also play the mantra OM while the incense is lit. A tape or CD on the mantra OM may be played for about one or two hours while the incense is burning. This reinforces the cleansing effect making the technique more powerful. Make sure to open the doors and windows to allow fresh air and energy to come in and old dirty energy to go out.

Grand Master Choa Kok Sui has stated, “Preparation for meditation is as important as the meditation itself.” The following are some ways in which you can better prepare for your meditation:

ShowerMeditate after bathing so that your body is physically clean. Also, it specially helps to take a salt water bath as it cleanses the energy body and prepares it to assimilate more energy. Additionally, after meditating, do not shower for a few hours, as the water will wash away the energy brought down during the meditation.

MealsMeditate at least one hour after you have eaten your lunch/ dinner. If you meditate soon after a heavy meal, the energy will not flow through your body easily.

Physical ExercisesPerform one set of the physical exercises taught in the Basic Pranic Healing class. Arhatic yogis must practice 3 sets of the physical exercises taught to them. The effect of these exercises is equivalent to Hatha Yoga, and helps in expelling dirty energy from the body and has a cleansing and purifying effect on the chakras. However, they must be performed in the order given, so as to fully benefit from them. According to GMCKS, “For the blessings to flow through you, you have to be physically and energetically clean; otherwise there will be resistance. Once the body is clean, the body can easily absorb the fresh energy generated through meditation.” After completing your meditation, it is necessary to massage your body as taught in the Basic PH workshop. Then, again perform at least one set of the exercises, so as to release the excess energy and avoid congestion, especially around the eyes. Exercising after meditation is as important as before.

Pranic BreathingPerform 6-7 cycles of pranic breathing before starting your meditation. Arhatic yogis should perform the breathing exercises taught to them. According to GMCKS, “Certain breathing techniques physically purify the body and psychologically purify the soul…Proper breathing gives you calmness and stillness emotionally and mentally.” Once the mind is calm, it is easier to meditate with minimal inner disturbance.

Inner Purification“Spiritual development is dependent upon inner purification or character building.” - GMCKSRegularly practice character building and Inner Reflection, Firm Resolution to remove your weaknesses and negative tendencies. If you meditate without practicing inner purification, then your weaknesses get magnified, resulting in a “spiritual fall.” Arhatic Yogis must practice the Blue Triangle technique regularly before meditating.

Face EastWhile meditating, it is preferable to face east.

Make a ScheduleAccording to GMCKS, “Make a schedule. Unless you fix a time, you will not meditate. Make a firm resolution to meditate regularly.” He also says that if you can “follow a schedule for two weeks, you can follow it for a year. If you can follow if your one year, you can follow it for a lifetime.”

- Superbrain Yoga®

Dr. Paul Nogier MD, a neurologist, spent 20 years from 1950 to about 1970 doing medical research. He rediscovered that the ears correspond to the whole body. Superbrain Yoga® is a simple and effective 2 minute exercise to energize and recharge the brain. It is based on the principles of subtle energy and ear acupuncture. This powerful technique is explained in Master Choa Kok Sui's latest book Superbrain Yoga®. On 3rd October 2005, the following pilot study was conducted by Dr. Glenn Joseph Mendoza, MD, M.P.H., and Raina Koterba, OTR/L on the effectiveness of Super Brain Yoga.

Objective: The aim was to study the effects of regular practice of Superbrain Yoga® for autism. Material and Methods: The study involved 9 severely austistic childrem at the Phoenix Center in northern New Jersey. The Sensory Profile, a standardized test measuring the proper integration, regulation, and modulation of each of the sensory systems, was administered to each of the children. Inclusion criteria- The chosen children ranged between the ages of 14 and 16. The children had a variety of issues, including minimal communication, self-abusive behaviors, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, hyperactivity, inattention and cognitive delays. Process: They did 21 sets of Superbrain Yoga® in a single session almost everyday, depending on the erratic state of the classroom. Secondary to the cognitive and emotional level of the students, most required hand-to-hand manual guidance. After 3 weeks, the majority of the students were then able to complete the Superbrain Yoga with minimal assistance from the therapist and teacher, some however still had difficulties.Findings and Discussion: The preliminary findings at the Phoenix Center are quite astounding in relation to the progress of a severely autistic child. They are as follows:

THE FIRST WEEK: • Children who were displaying severe hyperactivity (unable to keep feet or hands still for longer than 15 seconds), are calm for 15 to 20 minutes following the exercise with minimal extraneous movements. They appear calm, focused and can attend to work.• Children who were consistently yelling or engaging in vocalizations (approximately one every 2-5 minutes), are

quiet for about 20 minutes with minimal vocalizations. They also appear very calm, focused and ready to attend to the task at hand.

THE SECOND TO THIRD WEEK: • Sensory input (extreme vestibular and proprioception) seem to have little effect on some of these children, however, after engaging in the Superbrain Yoga, the children are able to register the sensory input in a more appropriate manner. • The teacher had observed, that when they are able to engage in the Superbrain Yoga in the morning (approximately 9:30), the children are calmer and quieter during their daily activities. The effects seem to wear off by lunch (11:45). It has been recommended by the therapist to engage in the exercise a second time.

(Signed) Dr. Glenn Joseph Mendoza, MD, M.P.H. & Raina Koterba, O.T.R./L (October 22, 2005)

Superbrain Yoga® can be practiced by all above the age of 7. It energizes and activates the brain, and also assists in balancing the energies of the heart, throat, ajna, forehead and crown energy centers. Regular practice results in inner peace, greater intelligence and creativity, a higher degree of spirituality and enhances proper functioning of the brain. This is why some people have experienced stress reduction by practicing this exercise. Other benefits noted include greater psychological stability and an ability to regulate the sex drive. This is especially helpful for teenagers. Prolonged practice of the Superbrain Yoga® can make the practitioner, in general, smarter and more psychologically balanced. For more info, log on to www.superbrainyoga.com.au. To learn the technique accurately, you may purchase the book at http://phmumbai.com/collections/gmcks-books/products/book-superbrainyoga or from the Foundation.

1. Is it dangerous to touch the water in the bioplasmic waste disposal unit?A. The water in the bioplasmic unit is like water in the toilet. We do not want to have it splash on us unnecessarily, but if it does, just wipe the water followed by sweeping the area a few times or cleansing the area with iso prophyll solution.

2. Can we practice Pranic Breathing in a train?A. Pranic Breathing should preferably be practiced in an etherically clean environment, therefore, a train is not the ideal environment.

3. Do we need a photograph of the patient in order to do distant healing?A. While doing distant healing, a photograph is not required. One may just follow the technique as taught in the class. However, for a new pranic healer, a photograph may make it easier to visualize the patient.

4. What is the minimum age for a person to attend the Basic Pranic Healing Workshop? A. The minimum age for a person to attend the Basic Pranic Healing course is 18+ years. Only if the parents have done Pranic Healing, can the child be considered to attend the course before 18 years of age.
