3“My child came out with a smile on her face everyday, brill can’t fault them!” - Clare, Newthorpe

It’s time for our biggest Easter Camp of all time, packed full of activities in Rushcliffe, Arnold, Eastwood and Aspley.

Our bespoke Traditional and Active Camps allow children to learn, grow and thrive through sports, games, arts and our special highlight activities. Day Camps are a brilliant opportunity for children to explore nature, discover new talents, try new activities, gain independence and make lasting friendships. Every child will receive a souvenir certificate, a pack of Top Trumps and a chocolate Easter egg to celebrate our Easter Camp.

This Easter, for the first time we are delighted to introduce our partnership with Nottingham Forest in the Community, presenting their highly coveted Soccer School to the children at YMCA Day Camps. They will use their team of FA licensed and qualified community coaches to deliver a fun programme of football skills, games and competitions throughout the week at both Rushcliffe & Arnold. All children will take home a Nottingham Forest certificate and medal for taking part!

Nottinghamshire YMCA has been serving the local communities for over 140 years, we are very proud of our history and excited by the future. On behalf of the staff, we look forward to working with you and your child to make this a positive experience that will last a lifetime.

Our Bursary SchemeAt the YMCA we have a commitment to increasing children’s participation in healthy activity across the whole of Nottinghamshire. Our bursary scheme is part of this commitment.

If your family are experiencing financial difficulty or have circumstances beyond your control which may prevent your children from joining in at YMCA Day Camps, please contact us on 0115 711 7006 to chat with our team and we may be able to help. To apply, we will ask you to submit a written form, which we can e-mail or post to you.

All bursaries are partially paid, meaning as the parent/carer we will ask you to contribute to your child’s place, but only as much as you can afford. If successful in your application, the YMCA will subsidise the remainder of your camp fees and invite your child to our camp for the dates you specified in your application.

The YMCA’s contributions come from a group of trust funders who specifically donate their money for the purpose of the Day Camps bursary scheme.

To apply for a bursary, please contact us on 0115 711 7006 or email us at [email protected].

Marco’s StoryMarco has been receiving bursaries to attend YMCA Day Camps since summer 2012. He’s proven he’s the perfect YMCA Day Camper, earning himself awards in all four core values; honesty, respect, responsibility and caring, as well as the superstar award!

His mum, Jane, said:“ Because Marco is an only child, I worry a lot about where he is during the school holidays. I don’t want him staying at home on his own, and I need to be assured he is safe. When Marco is at Day Camps, I can go to work and feel relaxed that he is not only being well looked after, but also that he is enjoying himself.”

Kaiden & Alisha’s Story

Mim has received bursaries to send her two children, Kaiden and Alisha to Day

Camps. Alisha loves the camps so much, she wants to volunteer as a camp leader

when she is old enough.

Mim said:

“ Both of my children thoroughly enjoy camps because they can take part in

activities they wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to try. The camps also

keep them active during the school holidays and stimulate their interest in

physical activity, which is hugely important to me as a parent.”

Read more about Marco, Kaiden and Alisha’s stories at nottsymca.com/camps/bursary.

If you would like to contribute or donate to the bursary scheme for YMCA Day Camps please call 0115 9489828. We greatly appreciate all donations. Without which we would not be able to offer the bursary scheme.
