about a girl named Molly who loves baseball. She just lost her father and her mother is uninvolved. Fueled by her love of baseball she decides that she will try out for the boys baseball team thinking it will make her dad proud. With the support of her friends she tries out and makes the team, but not everyone is glad she is on the team. After all the obstacles she faces Molly gets her time to shine in a baseball game and does just that. For an excellent read check out The Girl Who Threw Butterflies.

In this book, there is an ad in the newspaper for specific people. This kids have to go take a test and the kids that pass the test they get to be in a group for a guy named Mr. Benedict. Mr. Benedict has a twin brother named Mr. Curtain who wants to take over the minds of people by a machine. The whole world will eventually hear the messages, but Mr. Benedict wants these kids: Reynie, Constance, Sticky, and Kate get trained b y Mr. Benedict to stop his twin brother. At the end of the book, the kids do stop Mr. Curtain.
