Location intelligence is the capacity to organize and understand complex
data through the use of geographic relationships. It organizes business and
geographically referenced data to reveal the relationship between location and

Like other types of visualization, maps bring data to life and make it easier for
business users to identify the significant trends and issues contained in most of
the reports and dashboards, but location intelligence goes beyond basic
geographical displays; it delivers interactive spatial models that correlate busi-

more accessible, ships with Census-based demographic data. These datasets are
known as ‘GeoPacks’, and it assists it’s users to quickly discover rich location-
based insights and correlations between existing business and spatially relevant
third-party data. Yellowfin’s 'GeoPacks' provide geographical and location-

existing business data to create insightful location-based reports. ‘GeoPacks’
can also be created for any geography and is used by Yellowfin
Yellowfin's native Base Layer allows users to immediately create multi-layered
maps without needing to source WMS layers. Instead of pulling a map layer
from a third-party source – such as Google Maps, Yellowfin will use shape files
to create an image (native Base Layer).
