OBJECTIVE To find out the different types of all-time

favourite movie genres including: Musical/dance, Sci-fi, Romance, Drama, Comedy, Anime/cartoon, Action, Mystery, Adventure, Crime, Fantasy, Multi-genre, Documentary, News and Autobiography year 9 students in Cheltenham Girls High School enjoy watching the most.

METHOD●Survey as many year 9 students by asking them or by creating an event on Facebook inviting as many year 9 students whom you haven’t surveyed.●Create a table, pie and column graph for the data.●Edit and check over your work carefully and print it out with appropriate sizes and dimensions. It should be easily read from 2 metres away.●Print all the information out and paste them onto a cardboard that is no larger than 100cm x 60cm.●Decorate the poster to make it to look more attention grabbing

DISCUSSION The difficulty of the process of making

this assignment when some students had declined the maths survey invitation. I would then have to find them to survey them the next day. If one mistake occurred in surveying, the data would then not be correct.

ANALYSE The most popular movie genre vote by

year 9 students was, Multi-genre (a movie with more than one genres), of 15%. The least popular movie genre elected by year 9 students was, Documentary, consisting of 1% of students. Comedy was the second most popular movie genre selected by 13% of year 9 students. The third popular movie genre was, Anime/cartoon, chosen by 11% of the year 9 students

CONCLUSION My partner and I had worked really well

in completing this assignment. We could have improved by surveying student from other grades or a boys school, and repeating it to get a more accurate result.
