• 60 volunteers made up for regular members, dispatchers, auxiliaries and School District staff

• School District 57 is crediting students with 4 course credits towards graduation for completing the 2 week program

• This year we had the first female Right Marker, Mekanna Parker

PROSECUTIONS

• Prince George RCMP had two homicides in 2018, with a number of other serious, but lesser offences also being investigated.

• The homicide of Jordan McLeod resulted in convictions against all the accused. Two received 2nd Degree murder and one received Manslaughter. Crown in currently appealing that decision.

• Jeffery LAPIER was convicted for his involvement of shooting a female near Moores Meadow and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

• Manslaughter charges were approved in the death of Patrick Mathewsie near the Pine Centre Mall and the matter will be before the courts in 2019.

SAFE CITY ROADS PROGRAM

Final statistics for the 2018 Safe City Roads Program

• 1,552 tickets/charges issued • $266,397 in fine revenue• Surpassed expectation of 1440 tickets

• 616 hours used – Approximately $52,360 in wages• $5.09 generated for every $1 invested

• 1,287 speeding tickets, including 32 excessive• Top locations include Domano/Gladstone, Foothills/15th Ave,

Ospika/Westwood, Hwy 16/Peden Hill, and Hart Hwy/Hoferkamp Rd

• In March 2018, the Prince George Indigenous Court celebrated its grand opening.
