Week June 2020
Hello Year 8s,
This week we will be focusing on Refugee Awareness Week, which takes place from
the 15th to 20th June.
• Literacy Task - Persuasive Writing Techniques- Using persuasive text to
write a letter to the Prime Minister.
• Numeracy Task – Solving the calculations.
• Science Task – Investigate balanced and unbalanced forces.
• Humanities Task – Which countries do refugees originate from?
• Art Task – Design a Happy Birthday Message for the NNRF who is
celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Repetition To repeat the same thing
more than once.

A rule of three A sentence grouped together
with three ideas to make the
point more interesting.

velvety and tastes divine’’
Looking at the diary that has been sent to Robin, label where

Refugee charity, we need your help.
