Year 3 Remote Learning Pack
Welcome Hello from Miss Buxton and Miss Cole! Hello Year 3, Here we are again with some more learning activities for you to have a go at while you are at home this week. Hopefully, you have been able to use your Class Dojo portfolios to share your learning with us. It is lovely to see examples of your work! In the pack you will find tasks in Red/Orange, Green and Blue for you to work through. The tasks are matched to the groups that you work in in class, but you can work through all the tasks on a page if you wish. There are some extension questions for Blue groups- but other groups are welcome to try these! Keep up the hard work! Stay home, stay safe and stay in touch. Please don’t forget to use the class email as and when needed for support with remote learning: [email protected] (You will also find this information on our website where you will then be able to download it if you wish to alongside a list of useful links)
Whole School Weekly Challenge
Whole School Weekly Challenge: Can you write down or talk about 10 things that you have got better at since being in this class? This may be academic or relating to your own personal skills e.g. I know how to answer long division questions, I can now balance along a bench in PE, my handwriting is neater, I have become more resilient
Wellbeing Idea for the Week Fruit lanterns- Not just for Halloween!! With the hot weather fruit has never tasted better! Instead of wasting ‘skin’ of your fruit have a go at making a fruity lantern to brighten your back garden. They look great, are fun to make and are even a nice little treat for your local wildlife!

Day 4 English
Learning Challenge- Can we use vocabulary and punctuation for effect?

As the exhausted man lay sleeping, a large Blue Morpho Butterfly fluttered down and landed
on his nose. The man twitched, as the butterfly tickled.
“Senhor, if you cut down this tree I will have nowhere to land,” whispered the butterfly,
stretching her wings “I will be forced to keep flying and be put in danger”. The man sighed,
deep in thought whilst sleeping in the warm, bustling rainforest.
The butterfly crept closer to the man’s ear, her wings glistening in the sun’s rays.
“Senhor, the tree protects us from the blistering heat of the sun’s rays. High up in the
canopy the sun peers through, so we need the leafy branches to find shade.” With a hefty
sigh, the man rolled sending many animals scampering to get out of the way.
