How Much Revision Should I do?

School LRC will be open until 5pm Monday – Thursday in the lead up to exams.

Revision should always be structured and planned.

On a week day students should aim for 2-3 hours revision per night broken into 30 minute sections.

At weekends and holidays students should aim for 5-6 hours revision broken into 30 minute sections.

As a parent / carer you are able to help by asking questions linked to the subject that has just been completed. This will allow the student to check they have retained the information.

Arrangements for Term 6

The examinations are spread over five weeks.

There are 2 weeks of exams that take place during Term 6.

Any period that is no longer required will be used to provide a revision session for another subject.

Each week a schedule will be produced showing all sessions and rooms.

This will be shared with students and displayed on the school website for parents

Closing Thoughts

Remember you are not alone – 700,000 other Year 11 students sitting exams.

Only 5 weeks left (25 days) of secondary school education remaining.

Prom as a celebration for completing your time at Seahaven.

For the pain of the exams you are rewarded with a summer holiday in the region of 10-12 weeks.

It will be worth it in the end – All Year 11 have confirmed destinations for next year.
