Free entry for all, including a delicious barbecue breakfast from 8am and loads of entertainment for everyone to enjoy!
The Australia Day WA Community Citizen of the Year Awards will follow the breakfast at 10am, with special guest, Australia Day Ambassador Fadzi Whande.
During the morning there will be plenty of activities to get involved in, including giant yard games, slip ‘n’ slide, pool infl atables and quizzes for the adults with prizes to be won.

CHRISTINE MULLENDER Chris is always volunteering her time at the Queen Elizabeth II Seniors and Community Centre and helping with administrative duties for all Geraldton Seniors and Pensioners.
SANDRA SINGLETON Sandra is a long term volunteer for Look Good Feel Better in Geraldton – a group that helps local ladies suff ering from cancer. She herself has travelled that same journey and continues to constantly volunteer her time to help others.
ELIZABETH COBLEY Selfl essly dedicating thousands of hours to the management and upkeep of our treasured Walkaway Recreation Centre, Elizabeth has been the "go to" lady for generations of locals for as long as many can remember.
DR NOREEN PARSHAD Dr Parshad has been the backbone of GRAMS for over 20 years. Her dedication and devotion to her Aboriginal patients has been unwavering and exemplary. She has been a pleasure to work with - a sentiment echoed by her all colleagues.
KATE MCCONKEY Kate is an incredible woman who has given so much to the Geraldton community. Kate is involved in the Local Drug Action Group and Working at School Drug Education and Road Aware and she is committed to sharing this wealth of knowledge with the younger generation.
KEALAN NIGHTINGALE Kealan was nominated for his tireless work in assisting in the erection of the Tree Bench Project located near Stow Gardens. The bench is an artistic park bench designed both to bring the community together and to raise awareness of mental health and suicide.
DIOR SYMINGTON In 2018 Dior graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work. Dior is an active member of the Geraldton Suicide Prevention Action Group and very involved in the Tree Bench Project. Dior volunteers at PCYC and also assisted with the School Holiday Programs at Mitchell St Community Centre.
KRISTY HALLINAN Kristy has been blessed with a loving family and a good life. Whilst she could be sitting back enjoying that, she instead devotes her time, energy and money to fostering up to six (and sometimes more) children. Kristy does everything to make the foster children feel loved and welcome.
CHRIS DOBSON Chris has assisted many people in the community through Midwest Charity Begins at Home. She goes out of her way to help those with serious illnesses and consistently contributes to our community. Chris never asks for anything in return and is truly selfl ess.
FIONA SHERRELLFiona assists many children in the region by giving them food, love, education and a roof over their heads. Many can see Fiona walking to school every morning with 10+ children in tow, all happy and smiling. Fiona's work allows these children to have a greater future.
ANDREA O’LOUGHLINAndrea has been the president of APEX Geraldton and is involved in the National Committee. Andrea has spearheaded a 'Helping Hand' initiative to do gardening for people in need, getting on the tools herself at times whilst having enthusiasm to recruit others for the drive.
ANNE WILLIAMS Anne is a musician that gives so much back to the community donating her time to charity projects, including Bogan Bingo, and has raised 100's of thousands of dollars for various charities. Anne suff ers with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) yet she continues to give and never lets this restrict her.
MARIE HART Marie is committed to facilitating and arranging many WA Pony Club events to further the skills and development of riders of all ages. Despite being a partner in her own business and working full time, Marie still dedicates countless hours to provide assistance to regional Pony Clubbers.
CARLO LICASTRO Year in and year out for decades, Carlo has coached junior soccer teams, a woman's team and at least one men's team. Averaging six nights a week coaching, plus volunteering every Sunday morning, he is also the President of a Club, board member for junior soccer, and manages and trains the teenage Country Week every year.
DAMIEN NIGHTINGALE Damien joined Geraldton Suicide Prevention Action Group last year and has played a crucial role since. He was approached to be manager for a project to build a large tree shaped bench – hopefully a means to generate conversation in the community about suicide and mental health.
JODI REILLY Jodi is amazing and will always help a friend out. She will promote any business that she thinks is in the right honour of Geraldton and for the good of Geraldton. She is open minded and an asset to Geraldton.
PETER JONES This nomination recognises the contribution of Peter (aka Spike) - Commanding Offi cer of the Navy Cadet Unit (TS Morrow). Spike’s dedication cannot be overstated - formal training nights, powerboat and sailing training, organising camps and many ceremonial duties at civic functions.
Has been stablished for 11 years and reached a signifi cant milestone last year giving back $2,000,000 to the community and helping over 200 families.
The Club has been successfully running Mullewa Golden Bowls for 24 years. This annual event attracts over 60 players to Mullewa each year. Competitors come from all over the state, not just the Midwest and provides an economic boost for the town.
The Mullewa Police conduct their duties to the highest level of integrity, care and duty to the Mullewa community. They also give a large portion of their personal time to the community, assisting groups to make Mullewa a safer and more vibrant place to live and work.
This is a grass roots organisation aiming to tackle the high suicide rate through raising awareness and promoting mental health and wellness.
Our tour guides, a dedicated group of locals, have become vital for tourism in the Midwest and impart valuable information to all our guests.

CYNTHIA COMEAGAINCynthia is a very special young lady. Cynthia works for MEEDAC's Reach Out Service as a youth worker and bus supervisor. Cynthia is always willing to listen, pass on a kind word and ensure that every young person attending her programs feels connected.
DONNA BYRONDonna has been actively involved in many community groups within Mullewa. She is currently Secretary of the Bowls Club, President of the Senior Citizen’s Homes and President of the Community Resource Centre.
KEVIN WEIRKevin has been volunteering for many clubs and associations within Mullewa for many years; including 31 years for the Mullewa Wildfl ower Show. He is often behind the scenes working tirelessly for the community year after year.
CLEM KEEFFE Clem has been involved with over 20 community groups in Mullewa, and within these, holding many offi ce bearer positions over the years. Now living in Geraldton, he continues to research and provide vital information and photos on the history of Mullewa and the Pioneer Cemetery.
JANE PARKER Jane is an integral part of the Mullewa community, she is passionate about her community and professional in all her work. She is a member of the Mullewa Muster Committee and each year continues to organise, coordinate and promote the event.
GLEN FLEETON Glen has been involved with the Mullewa community over many years providing vital information on men’s health, youth sporting and self-esteem building projects, the Mullewa Football Club and Mullewa District High School. Glen is passionate about the people of Mullewa and is to be commended on the marvelous work he does.
DANIEL CARTER Daniel has been a Ranger in Mullewa for the past 5 years. He is always polite when dealing with the public on any issues and works towards a peaceful resolution to problems that arise within his duties.
