De Haardt Electronic Engineering BV has developed its 2nd generationRemote Electric Kart and Track Control system. This robust 2 way communi-cation system has been developed with the practical feedback in mind wereceived from happy customers over the years.

Our Xtra.Remote Electric Kart and Track Control system is a totally newdesign which uses the latest technology and is not just a ‘modification’ ofour classic system. This has resulted in a very easy to use and innovativeproduct which meets the necessary requirements for a rental karting trackoperator.

2-way radio communication system

Control over racing lights(e.g. start / stop & warning)

Multiple speed levels tochoose from includingcomplete engine shutdown

Penalties can begiven to drivers

Computer interface• Control karts with computer programs* • Easily install new software releases for

Xtra.Remote Control• Monitor all activity of other Xtra.Kart and Track Control devices

Membrane keyboard• Buttons provide tactile feedback• Dust, moisture or even chemicals can

not enter the unit through the keyboard

Full control over single, group or all karts

Graphical display with backlight• User friendly graphical display• Adjustable contrast and backlight

Reduced height antenna

Especially for the mechanics theXtra.Remote Control shows engine totalrunning time and real time battery voltage onthe graphical display. The modernly styledXtra.Remote Control can be hooked up to a PCso computer programs* can control and mon-itor all activity on the track. New softwareversions can be simply uploaded without theneed to return the unit to the factory.

With the portable and rechargeable Xtra.RemoteControl track operators have full control over theirelectric karts and racing lights. Dedicated buttons onthe keyboard allow for quick speed adjustments topreset levels for individuals, groups or all kartstogether. The speed limit can be adjusted easilywith step-up and down buttons. Penalties can begiven to crazy drivers. This slows their karts downfor some time after which the speed limitation istaken away automatically.

Every kart to be controlled remotely must beequipped with an Xtra.EV Shutdown Transponder.Assembly is quite simple thanks to the V-shapedbottom which fits perfectly on both round andsquare frame tubes. Controlling may be donethrough individual kart, group of karts or all karts

together. These numbers can be assigned by trackoperators using the Xtra.Remote Control. Multipletracks can be controlled fully independently. Splittracks may be (re)combined to one single trackwith a few clicks on the Xtra.Remote Control.

2-way radio communication system The built in antenna gives ruggedness andprevents antenna damage easily caused byheavy vibrations or clumsy drivers

Accessories Xtra.EV Shutdown Transponder

Wire harness for several motorcontrollers availableProgramming cable

The Xtra.EV Shutdown transponder is fully config-urable by the user and therefore can work with awide range of motor controllers. Thanks to the highefficiency electronics, the input voltage lies in therange of 10...95V. This exceptional range makes theXtra.EV Shutdown transponder operate on electrickarts using up to 6 series batteries of 12V.During charging of the batteries the Xtra.EV

Shutdown transponder can be LOCKED. During theLOCK the Xtra.EV Shutdown transponder does notrespond anymore to speed commands comingfrom the Xtra.Remote Control. This gives extra safe-ty during charging.

The total battery voltage can be read out in realtime using of the Xtra.Remote Control.

Robust housing protects theinside electronics against heavyvibrations and other harsh condi-tions

Does not accept speedcommands during batterycharging (CHARGE LOCK)

Exceptional wideinput voltage range

Kart network port. For connecting (future) kartelectronics to the Xtra.EVShutdown Transponder easilywith a single cable

Gold plated contacts ensurereliable connections The enclosure specially designed

V-shape ensures stable fixation onboth round and square frame tubes

4 led lights indicate opera-tion state

The enclosure sides are supportedwith tie-wrap feeds for better fixationand to prevent the unit from slippingoff by vibrations

The Xtra.EV Shutdown Transponder is controllablefor an individual kart, a group of karts or all kartsat the same time. Multiple tracks nearby can becontrolled fully independently even when duplicatekart numbers are in use

Use the Xtra.Range Extender-Accesspoint to cover hard-to-reach areason the track. Hard-to-reach areas may be caused by distance (track size)or by protruding objects like buildings and trees (blind spots) or byinterference like power lines running close by.

Because of its forwarding / repeating nature, placing several Xtra.RangeExtender-Accesspoints spread evenly over the circuit will maximize reliability.

The unit provides an access point for a personalcomputer as well. Hook it up through the serialport and control /monitor karts or entire track withcomputer programs*. There is no need to returnthe unit to the factory for new software releases, uploading new software from personal computerto Xtra. Range Extender-Accesspoint is easy.

The Xtra.Range Extender-Accesspoint is upgradablewith an Xtra.Light Control board. This board adds threemains switches and four low-voltage signal inputs tothe Xtra.Range Extender-Accesspoint. Hook up greenstart, red stop and yellow warning lights and controlthese with an input signal or wirelessly using theXtra.Remote Control and / or personal computer. Withadvanced system configuration the signal inputs maybe assigned to other functions as well.

Enclosed in a robust die-castIP65 housing, designedto endure the worstoutdoor conditions

Metal cable glands

Dual power supply. Operateson either mains or externalDC power supply like a bat-tery or solar panel system

Waterproof Computer interface- Control and monitor karts with computer programs*- Easily install new software releases for Xtra.Range Extender-Accesspoint- Monitor activity of all Xtra.Kart and Track Control devices

Enclosure features threadedholes for easy and securewiring of racing lights throughcable glands. Provided withblanking plugs
