XPS-620x Outdoor PSU

Reliable powering for Trapeze outdoor WLANdeployments in any environment.

The XPS-6201 and XPS-6202 hardened power supplies are intended for outdoor deployment in conjunction with Trapeze Networks out-door access points, the MP-620 or MP-620A. Designed for extremely harsh environments, including sub-zero temperatures, high humidity, dust, salt and fog, these power supplies are rec-ommended for high availability outdoor wireless LAN applications such as wireless mesh services, point, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridging where the cost of downtime has severe penalties.

In addition, thanks to superior MTBF ratings this hardened power supply is especially rec-ommended in all applications where servicing the access point or power supply is difficult or requires specialized equipment.

Outstanding “Dirty Power” Performance

The XSP-620x performs very well in “dirty” power environments. Although it is nominally rated for 100-240 VAC, the XPS-620x supports wide range of input voltages from as low as 90V to as high as 277 VAC for normal operation, and is equipped with surge suppression and line filters to ensure extremely high tolerance for momentary surges and sags in power without malfunctioning or incurring damage. Load protection is also offered to prevent damage in over-voltage and over-current conditions. In the event of over-voltage exceeding 115%

(318V) or over-current exceeding 130% (0.82A), the power supply will shut down and restart to stay below these levels. Furthermore, gas discharge tubes / spark gaps and MOVs (metal oxide varistors) are used to prevent damage from lightning strikes.

The water tight enclosure comes as standard with pole mounting brackets, and one of two different water tight connector types to suit different powering options - either AC input cable for direct connection to a three-pronged plug, or conduit connectors for direct connec-tion to 1/2” inside diameter steel conduit.

Also supplied as standard are three DIN-to-RJ45 converter cables with waterproof RJ45 con-nectors and one DIN-to-DIN cable, which are required to connect the outdoor Ethernet drop to the power supply and from the power supply to an MP-620 or MP-620A access point. Ethernet cables are not included.
