Introduction to Amadeus XPP ReportingThe payment flow is including various steps, from the authorization to the settlement of funds; the complexity rises when all the possible options are activated (such as 3D Secure, or Fraud management…) and is replicated per every method of payment, sales channel and payment provider involved in the process. XPP reporting reduces the complexity by allowing its users to create custom reports and be fully in charge of which data should be visible in the report.

The interactive user interface (UI) of XPP reporting provides the possibility to create reports from predefined templates or from scratch. The reports can be scheduled or generated on demand and exported into different formats.

The tools is serving anyone needing visibility on transaction data, for example operations, finance or marketing department, etc.

Advantages/Key ValueThe XPP Reporting solution is supporting the value proposition of the Exchange Payment Platform, playing an active role for all the payment steps, but also inheriting the key advantages of the platform itself:

• Travel integrated for investigation and chargeback management: the payment information is bundled with the travel data (direct access to the PNR and to the ticket information), enabling the link between the sales and the payment context.

• Cross channel: the tool has access to the details of all payments processed by APP from the various Amadeus and non-Amadeus front offices, direct and indirect sales, with no switching cost in case a new channel is added. Additionally, this is a time saving characteristic, comparing to a situation where the user has to act on a different mid/back office tool per channel.

• Payment Provider agnostic: the daily report bundles all payment transactions, no matter which is the provider used to perform an action; everything is routed by business rules which are not seen by the user. This means no switching cost when changing providers in terms of implementation time/cost and training. Additionally, this is a time saving characteristic, comparing to a situation where the user has to act on a different mid/back office tool per payment provider.

System OverviewAll the traffic processed by the Amadeus Payment Platform is dumped in a database, called the production database.

On a regular basis, all the data stored in the transaction database are then crunched in order to provide statistics using the granularity of the database fields.

The whole system is running on the Erding platform (ADP), taking benefit of the operational guarantees of availability and performances (SLAs) guaranteed for all the other products part of the Amadeus Payment Platform.

Configure your reportIn this section you can define the content of the file you want to generate.

You can define the following:

Columns

In the column section, you can add the fields you need by selecting either a field or a set of fields or category of fields. At least one field needs to be selected in order to save the report.

By clicking on Add Column, a menu shows up with the available fields. The fields are organized bycategory and you can select the fields either individually by ticking them or select all the fields of a given category by clicking on the category and then ticking ‘Select All’. The fields that are included are ticked in the list.

If you want to have more details of a given field, you can click on it and you can see:

• field name

• description of the field: functional description of the field

• custom name of the field: the field can be renamed for this given report. The field custom name is propagated to the other sections (Filter and Sorting). You can revert back to the original standard field name by clicking on the x icon

To remove a given field, you can either un-tick it (or the complete category) or click on x icon that appears while going over the field.

As a result, you see then all the fields listed in the order that they will appear in the report. You can drag and drop the fields to reorder them.

Filters

The filter section allows you to customize the transactions you want to report. Similarly to the columns, fields are grouped in categories. In addition, on top of the categories you can find a special category ‘Your Selected Columns’, where you can find the fields you have chosen as columns.

Several types of filters are available depending on the type of field:

• Freetext:

In freetext filters, you can chose one value or a set of values to be either included or excluded in the report.

Delivery OptionsIn this section you can configure the file name of the report and how it’s going to be transmitted.

Report file name

The report file name is generated dynamically using free text and a set of abbreviations. By clicking on ‘List of abbreviations’ you can see the supported values. Below the report file name expression, you can see an example of the resulting file name.

If you don’t indicate any file name expression, a default one is applied.

Format

Only CSV is available.

Transmitted by:

You can select between three different types of transfer options:

• ADEP: the files are made available in Amadeus Data Exchange Portal (ADEP) which is a webbased solution for high-security document management and file-transfer. With this solution, you can use your web browser to login and securely send confidential files to colleagues throughout the enterprise and around the world. By default, files are available up to 7 days and are removed from ADEP once they have been downloaded. It’s also possible to send a notification email upon file availability.

• FTP: the files are pushed to the sFTP server of your organization

• Download: the files can be directly downloaded in the Reporting application, in the History tab

Note that, in order to have the first 2 transfer options working, you need first to request them to be configured by opening a WO.
