As you fill in your emission reduction activities, check the summary tab to see if you have met your goal for both NOx and VOCs. Begin by clicking on the "Summary" tab and enter your company's name and address, your ozone coordinator's contact information, and your number of employees. This spreadsheet is designed to help companies calculate their NOx and VOC reduction targets, and to determine which strategies are the most convenient and effective options for that company to use to meet their target. The target is calculated using the following equation:

The average daily commute mileage is assumed to be 20.8 miles. This number was provided by the Charlotte Department of Transportation. The emission factors are obtained from EPA's Mobile6 model. The reduction percentage is currently set at 33%. This means that each company's goal is to reduce 33% of its commute related emissions.

NOTE: This spreadsheet is contunually being revised and updated. Options and calculations may be added, changed and removed as MCAQ determines appropriate.
