Sydor Technologies provides direct detectors for X-rays spanning the EUV, soft, tender and hard X-ray regime. Sydor DBPM monitors improve your beamline by providing in-situ beam flux, position, timing, and imaging, along with matching electronics for real-time feedback control.

X-RAY DETECTORS

Sydor offers a portfolio of detectors that enable complex measurements for the newest and brightest light sources. For existing light sources, adding new detector capabilities can be the engine that drives new life into beamline discovery. Sydor detector solutions deliver high dynamic range, low noise, unique pixel sizes, ultrafast speeds, area solutions and electronics readouts for various applications such as, dynamic compression, plasma, one-time irreversible events, diffraction and spectroscopy.

X-RAY BEAM MONITORS

Sydor Diamond Beam Position Monitors (DBPM) solve the alignment and feedback demands that newer, fine resolution beamlines require. Today’s experiments require exacting positional and/or angled monitoring and control with respect to the sample for the duration of the experiment. The in-situ DBPM with the intelligent Sydor BPMio controller will run in an EPICS or Tango environment to ease beamline integration.

Stage Mount DBPM: Ultra-small, ambient to UHV, 20 mm motion to remove from beam path. Flange Mount DBPM: Flange mount (various) for ambient to UHV applications. Dual DBPM: Dual-quad detectors providing two location alignment capability.BPMio Controllers: Intelligent Sydor electrometers with closed loop feedback.

IN-HOUSE QA AND LOCAL METALLIZATION PARTNERS

Sydor has established impressive capabilities with partners like Brookhaven, Cornell and Lawrence Berkeley to implement detector and DBPM testing. Our manufacturing capabilities allow us to offer custom DBPM metallizations, adjust cleaning and bonding procedures, and quality assurance. Sydor’s in-house test abilities include an X-ray source with an integral BPMio stage feedback system for QA verifications.

CONTINUING DEVELOPMENTS

Sydor’s detector and DBPM offerings are under continuous review for further enhancements and commercialization. Sydor is awarded various SBIR/STTR grants for R&D, optimizing capabilities, packaging and cost.
