WIRELESS METERS, RALEIGH, NC; APRIL, 2014 TO OCTOBER 2015 (CONTRACT THROUGH INSIGHT GLOBAL) Engineering Technician Assigned to perform diagnostic tests for wireless meter anomaly debug using digital VOM, Weller soldering station and shop tools and then record results into an Excel spreadsheet. Test wireless gas and water meters which use basic cell phone technology interface and perform root cause analysis of failures down to component or firmware level. Responsible for managing thermal burn-in cycles, including some programming, using Thermatron Environmental Chambers. Working with RF and Firmware engineers to diagnose RF failures and operational errors; propose circuit board corrections for future improvements; oversee water and gas module tests for stress endurance and count accuracy. Presented information for correction in PCB solder stencil that was incorporated into future products. Sent onsite to a contract manufacturer (KeyTronics in Corinth, Mississippi) as an empowered representative of Elster to implement a special, extreme environment screening test process for a first run product, which was a successful trip and accomplished all goals. Perform root cause analysis on failed modules.

K&M WIRELESS INC., SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (DIRECT HIRE AS 1099 CONTRACT) Wireless/RF Test Driver, Team Lead Sept-Dec/2012, Mar-Present/2014Leveraged leadership experience to direct a drive team using instructions received during verbal and hands-on training. Charged agent responsible for erecting mobile, mini-cell tower, then driving rental vehicles with RF receiving equipment for recording signal propagation within a prescribed radius. Sites were areas in VA, NC, SC and TX requiring constant coordination for overnight stays and expenses, and site coordination.
