In the spring, at the end of the growing season, the farmers and their families harvested their crops. This was when the Nile water was at its lowest level.

Once again, the Nile flooded the land. Crops grew and the famine came to an end.

The pharaoh declared that it was wrong to forget Khnum so he ordered more temples to be built in the god’s name and more prayers to be said to the god Khnum. He believed that by doing that, there would be no more famine.
