WORLD MISSION SUNDAY IS NEXT
WEEK!Next week is World Mis-sion Sunday. We are called through our Baptism to be part of the Church’s mis-sionary efforts, through prayer, self-sacrifice, and support of the Mission Church through material aid.
This year, Pope Francis asks us to respond to that call, saying, “Here I Am, Send Me!” To “send” our-selves, we can: PRAY for the Church’s worldwide mission-ary work
OFFER financial HELP and CHARITY through the col-lection for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith for vulnerable com-munities throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Islands.

VIRTUAL MORNING OF REFLECTION Magnificat: The Canticle of Marywww.SaintCecilia.org/MorningsofReflection
Saturday, October 24th from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Please join us for a live, virtual morning of reflection led by Lupe Arellano Schaefer During this retreat, Lupe will lead us in live reflections via Zoom. In between the presentations, you will have quiet times for creative journaling.
Participants will receive their own kit of supplies, to be picked up from the parish ahead of time. Lupe Schaefer, artist and mother of five very talented young adults, who are also some astounding artists, recently began hosting and teaching a Bible Study and creative art journaling in her home. Through her unique study that combines God's Word with our own innate desire to create like Him, the Message is truly internalized and begins to bloom in our hearts. No artistic abilities needed—God will provide! The cost is $20.

THE WOMEN’S CLUB: NEXT ZOOM MEETING GATHERING Friday, November 6th
Business meeting begins at 10:00 am with the program immediately following.
Our program features Kathryn Haueisen discussing her newly published book of historical fiction, "Mayflower Chronicles: The Tale of Two Cultures." Historic figure Mary Brewster’s story is incorpo-rated in the book. This is Kathryn’s first “retirement project”.
Members of the Club will receive an email with a ZOOM link early in the week of the meeting. Any women of the Parish interested in participating can contact [email protected] so they can re-ceive the link as well.
Attention members: This would be a wonderful time to a donation to Angela House, our official char-ity of choice. Remember, we were unable to have our regular raffle this year. Mail your donations to Angela House, 6725 Reed Rd., Houston 77087.

WARMTH SHARING MINISTRYScarves for Houston’s Needy
Fall is just around the corner and cool weather will soon follow. The needy people of Houston will be praying for your assistance this winter to stay warm, so please pick up your knitting needles or your crochet hook and LET’S MAKE SOME SCARVES AND HATS!
Please consider joining this “warmth sharing” ministry this year. If you are not inclined to knit or crochet, how about do-nating some YARN for the ministry. People making the scarves and hats can always use some assistance with supplies. We would also take your donations of store-bought hats and scarves to be delivered with the ones we make. We need the items to be delivered to the church office and Colleen Bryse by November 24th. This will allow us to deliver them for sharing before it gets cold. If you have any questions, please contact Linda Kuper at [email protected]
WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS & NEWSTHE PARISH OFFICE IS OPEN MONDAY – FRIDAY FROM 9 AM UNTIL 5 PM
