1. The following amendment to Adm 0 1 is aDnounced. Paragraph 1 h.to read as follows:

(1) Troops will be equipped with and carry the l ightweight gas

mask. These masks will be t horoughly checked for serviceability and tested ingas chamber prior to departure.

(2) Ea.ch ma,sk will include i n carrier the following:

(a) Protective Cover 1(b) Eyes hields 2(c) Anti-dim Set 1(d) Sleeve gas detectors 2(e) Eye ointment BAt 1(f) Ointment protective 1(g) Pocket Reference Card 1

(3) Vesicant, detector kits will be carried by gas personnel.

,(4) Helmets of gas personnel will be painted wi th LVD pa int.

t5) All apparatus, decontEainating, lt quart, M2. will be f i l led.

(6) One ( l ) vesicant cr8¥on detector will be carr i ed by each

uni t gas off i cer and gas C O .

(7) Gas Officers will report any gas attacks to the Division

Chemical warfare Offi ce on AGO Form 890 by most expeditious means. Two (2 )

copies of AGO Form S90 wi l l be carried by each officer and NCO.

(8 ) Incendiaries may be used to destroy abandoned enemy or ourown equipment when the unit commander beli eves that capture by the enemy isimminent. Destruct ion will conform to existing regulations.
