Project Goals

• 60Kw-DIGITAL UHF transmitter – CH40, IOT parallel configuration system with a redundant cooling system;

• RF system to allows any combination between the pair of the 30KW IOT’s and antenna system available, with no interruptions;

• 30Kw-ANALOG VHF transmitter –CH8, Traplexer, in a main / stand-by configuration;- the transmitter is shipped and tested with a conversion kit for future DIGITAL conversion;

• Line optimized (VSWR better than 1.1), good insulation between the combined paths (more than 60dB)

• Remote Control operation, realized thru a Moseley MRC-2 package;

• Design the system for installation into a room with ceiling restrictions, existing equipment, air ducting, and HVAC Units;

• IOT 60KW _UHF –CH40 System parallel configuration is designed to use (see IOT Data Sheet):

• two IOTD2130 tubes (EEV); • WG Switchless Combiner (“Magic TEE”); • WG connections and Patching, combined with 6-1/8”, coaxial

line; • Independent water cooling systems for each IOT and Loads;

• The 30KW_VHF –CH8 Main/Stand-by configuration with an existing tube transmitter is designed to use:

• 1-5/8” for aural;• 3-1/8” for visual and combined (aural +visual);• 2 Exciters configuration, with a Traplexer (incl. 3.58 Traps and

aural cavities);• Motorized 3-1/8” Coaxial switch for M/S config..

• The key factors for design where: max line avg. power, VSWR derating, insertion loss contribution to final power at the gas barrier and space limitations.
