WSDL Palette The WSDL palette is used for creating, editing, validating, importing, and viewing WSDL (Web Service Description Language) files. These files are shared resources that describe web services. The WSDL palette’s resources are used to create and reuse abstract definitions, namely: • Messages, which describe the data being exchanged • Port Types, which define a set of operations • Operations, which describe the activities supported by the web service WSDL ( Resource) A WSDL file is an XML instance of the WSDL XML Schema. A WSDL resource is composed of a series of definitions that describe the format and roles of messages used in web services. Once the WSDL resource has been created and selected in the project, the key components of abstract WSDL definitions — messages, port Types, and operations — become available in the WSDL palette. Message ( Component) The Message component is used to define the type of information being exchanged in a web service. One or more Message components can be added to a WSDL resource selected in your project.
