CCTV is a critical security tool, not only for security requirements but as a

day to day management tool. The presence of CCTV has the potential to

reduce crime and a proper, well designed system will reduce manpower

costs and improve efciencies. Shrinkage will be considerably reduced

with the introduction of a CCTV system.

CCTV camera applications can be used in commercial, industrial,

manufacturing and domestic environments. There are a multitude of

different cameras available, depending on the specic application.

Bullet Camera. A type of video camera often used in surveillance systems, named because of its shape

and size. Bullet cameras are small and are limited to a xed focal length

lens. Bullet cameras are good for use in smaller spaces.

Dome Camera. A type of camera with a dome-like shape. Most often

used indoors. Some feature infrared lighting and some are designed to be

tamper-proof, or vandal resistant.

Covert. A covert application refers to a situation where you don't want the person to know that they are

being watched or recorded. Also known as hidden' cameras.

Remote Surveillance. The ability to view your cameras from a remote

location. Information is transmitted via Internet. Newer technology

systems allow transmission to smart phones.

Resolution. Refers to how much detail can be captured on a camera or

displayed on a monitor. Cameras typically capture about 380 horizontal lines of resolution. High

resolution cameras may capture up to 540 lines of resolution or

more. The higher the resolution, the more detail that can be captured

in a picture.

INTERNAL PROTECTION

An intruder alarm system is designed to detect intruder presence at your premises.

When detected, a siren will activate and communicate an alarm signal to the responsible

authorities or Monitoring centers, from where an appropriate response will be

coordinated. Intruder systems can be either hard wired or wireless.

The purpose of an intruder alarm system is:

Ÿ To protect the physical assets and people within a premises

Ÿ To deter crime and vandalism

Ÿ To ensure a prompt armed response service is dispatched in response to an alarm

signal

EXTERNAL PROTECTION

Beams and Passives

Point to point beams and outdoor detectors are mounted externally as an early warning

system. These devices can be linked to your alarm system. When the infra red beam is

broken or motion is detected by outdoor devices, an alarm will be triggered.

Electric Fencing

Electric fencing deters unauthorized people from entering your premises. It provides an

early warning of potential intrusion, in additional to a physical barrier that delays

intrusion time.

An electric fence consists of electric wires carrying high voltage electric pulses that

provide a non-lethal shock to an intruder. The electric fence has a local sounder and can

be linked to your alarm system, to send a signal to your Monitoring Centre in the event

of a security breach.

Electric fences can be installed on top of existing walls or as standalone fences. They are

suited to domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications.

Smart Cards

We offer a two-in-one solution that combines a biometric device and smart card reader,

using standard non contact smart card technology. Fingerprint or hand geometry

templates are captured during enrollment and directly writ- ten to a smart card chip.

Logical Access

Enterprise access cards consolidate employee credentials onto a single, se- cure smart

card providing photo ID as well as a security device that enables secure windows and

network login, PC 'locking', secure remote access (VPN), secure e mail with digital

signatures and single sign-on to your enterprise and desktop applications. Employees

can also access buildings and other facilities with the same card for a truly consolidated

security solution.
