Propagation Models Ten propagation models are supported:
ITU-R P.526-6 (Detailed terrain) DETVAG 90/FOI (Detailed terrain, many selectable options) ITU-R P.370-7 ITU-R P.452-9 (Detailed terrain) ITU-R P.619-1 Longley-Rice Okumura - Hata/COST-231 - Hata COST-231 - Walfish - Ikegami CRC (Detailed terrain), by special licensing Free-space
Attenuation due to atmospheric gases can be included (ITU-R P.676-2 for terrestrial, P.618-6 for space)
HF Planning with ITS HF software: VOACAP/ICEPAC/REC533 (point-to-point) VOAAREA/ICEAREA/RECAREA (point-to-area)

Radio Link Performance
The main features are:
Support for both analogue and digital radio links
Full power budget Fading margins Outage probabilities Auto-handling of
attenuation due to atmospheric gases.

Frequency AssignmentWRAP efficiently supports assignment of frequencies and polarisation to stations and networks
All services Manual assignment Auto assignment Simplex Duplex Consider or
exclude existing assignments

Collocation InterferenceWRAP calculates all potentially dangerous frequency coincidences and their levels due to:
TX intermodulation RX intermodulation IF breakthrough Image frequency Harmonics Transmitter spectrum
mask Receiver blocking Receiver selectivity Antenna illumination EMI emittersFrequency hopping and direct sequence
spread spectrum systems are handled.

HF Planning• Planning of HF systems employing ionospheric
propagation
• WRAP uses software from the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences in the USA
• ITS HF software is accessed from within WRAP
• Properties of stations with definitions according to WRAP standards are used
– Data is transferred automatically to the ITS codes
• The standard installation of the ITS HF software can be used external to WRAP.

Point-to-Multipoint• Definition of a specific Group: MP Station
– Comprises one base station with a number of sector stations. To each of these a number of Clients is associated.
• Sector antennas have a fixed azimuth and tilt– Thus not automatically directed towards the clients.
• Client antennas are automatically directed in azimuth and tilt towards their sector station
• Traffic: Station property Number of Channels– For clients: Defines the traffic requirement of the client– For sectors: Defines the total capacity of the sector station– Total traffic load on a sector station calculated as the sum of the
number of channels for each of its associated clients.
