World Precision Flying Champion-ship 2015

Welcome Greetings from His Royal Highness,Prince Henrik of Denmark
Det er glædeligt, at The World Airsport Federation igen valgte Danmark.
HenrikPrinsgemal
Greetings from His Royal Highness The Prince Consort,Protector of the Royal Dan-ish Aeroclub:
It is a pleasure for me to once again welcome a World Cham-pionship - of Motor flying - to Denmark.
I am pleased that the The World Airsport Federation chose Denmark to arrange this World Championship in Preci-sion Flying. It of-fers us the opportunity to give the pos-sibility to be acquainted with Danish conditions.
Still increasing demands are concerned with safety in com-mercial as well as private avia-tion. This is why it is particular-ly important to favor interest in permanent safety in Precision Flying, as well in sporting flying as in commercial flying.
I send all the crews, and eve-ryone who has worked with the planning of this World Champi-onship, my best wishes for the success of this competition.
HenrikPrince Consort

Greetings from Hjalmar Nielsen, Chairman of Royal Danish Aeroclub, FAI Vice President
Royal Danish Aeroclub is proud that one of the Danish unions now for the fourth time in 26 years is in a position to be award-ed the arrangement of a FAI World Championship within motor flying, indeed a rare achievement.
In the staff responsible for the event you will find both old friends and new, i.e. there are individuals that have taken part in the arrangement of four World Championships.
We are very pleased that this event is among the activities to focus on motor flying, precision and flying safety.
I wish DMU Sport all well with the arrangement and we are confident that pilots, assistants as well as organizers will have an experience in an environment of professionalism.
We wish everyone a good compe-tition.

Welcome Greetings from Allan Hansen,Competition Director, WPFC 2015
It is a great pleasure for us that Denmark once again can welcome you to a World Championship. We are very proud that FAI awarded us this 22nd FAI World Precision Flying Championship and we will do everything possible to meet everyone’s expectations.
For the fifth time Denmark is hosting a FAI World Cham-pionship in precision or rally flying. This time, we have more than 80 participating pilots from 20 countries. The number of participants is surpassed only once before, namely last time a World Championship was held in Skive - in 1989.
In 1989 I was not a pilot myself. However, I did have some knowledge of Skive Airport because I did some parachute jumping from the airport at that time. I was never completely absorbed by the parachute sport and soon realized and enjoyed the advantage of staying inside the airplane as the pilot. I have never regretted that. The sporting events, good experiences from around the world, and joyful reunion with other participants at international competitions – it all means that we get caught by this sport.
They must do something right in Skive, as we are close to the participation record again. There is great enthusi-asm from the people in Skive Aero Club, who have plenty of experience from organizing annual Danish and Nordic Championships. At the same time, Skive Airport is well located in Denmark without many flying restrictions.
Another well-known Danish Competition director has been in charge of all previous World Championships in Den-mark. Without his great experience, and the help from everyone in the organization from Skive Aero Club and DMU-Sport, it would not be possible to organize such a big event. A great thank you from here: For both the high number of participants and to everyone who helps organ-izing this World Championship.
I hope everyone will have a great experience in Skive. We, the organizers will do our utmost to let everyone have good and memorable days here.
Welcome to Skive and good luck in the competition.
Allan Hansen,Competition Director

Welcome Greetings from Peder Christian Kirkegaard,Mayor of Skive Commune
It is with pride that we from Skive Municipality bid wel-come to the World Precision Flying Championship 2015, and the pilots from 20 countries participating in the competition. It is an initiative that we as a municipality support with pleasure. The event will create life and fits naturally into the municipal-ity’s slogan “PURE LIFE in Skive region”.
The active lifeThe Skive region offers a wealth of common experienc-es in sports and culture, and it is not least attributed to the many resourceful citizens who use their energy to create life and development both urban and rural. We have strong culture-, association- and leisure activities, and we were in the most recent survey of the Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF) touted as Denmark’s Best Sports Munici-pality.
The FjordWe cherish the active life on the fjord or along the 190-km attractive coastline which encircles most of the municipali-ty. There are no less than six ports, plenty of child-friendly beaches, and there are never more than 12 km to the fjord, which opens up a wealth of maritime opportunities.
The good food experiencesSome of the world’s best mussels and oysters are unload-ed from the fjord, and the customers include the world’s best restaurant, NOMA.
Likewise, we taste the catch at the annual Mussel Festival on Fur and Herring Festival in Glyngøre. The region’s good taste is not least underpinned by the high-profile products from Thise Dairy, Hancock Breweries and Fur Brewery, all
housed in the municipality. The sustainable energyFinally it should be mentioned that Skive has for many years focused on alternative energy solutions and is designated as one of the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Build-ing’s Energy cities. We have a vision to be self-sufficient in heating and energy in the year 2029, therefore, we con-stantly focus on new energy technologies.I would like to bid all welcome to the Skive region and to the World Precision Flying Cham-pionship 2015 with the hope of pleasant flights and safe landings.
Sincerly,
Peder Christian Kirkegaard,
Mayor of Skive Commune
