WP3 Update
1st round of Stakeholders meetings• Aims and objectives:
– to raise awareness of the Livediverse project;
– to identify and understand the key issues related to biodiversity and livelihoods from different perspectives (national, provincial, local; governmental/ non-governmental);
– to identify key stakeholders– to identify existing initiatives and
projects within the case study areas that complement the aims and objectives of LiveDiverse project
• Took place in November-December 2009
• Summary reports published on Livediverse public website
• Full reports available to partners
• Aims and Objectives:– Interactions with
stakeholders with the different WP 4/6/7/8 through households surveys, village meetings, governance interviews, scenarios focus groups
2nd round of stakeholders meetings
• Objectives (task 3.5)– Discuss livelihood and biodiversity
scenarios– Formulate recommendations and
proposals for future policy• Outputs
– Identify prospects for implementation of recommended policy measures beyond the term of the project
– Develop strategies for further activities, including capacity building plans
