QUEST GUIDE INTRODUCTIONver find yourself doing one quest in an area, only to find that an unrelated quest sends you to that same area later on? I’d have leveled a great deal faster had I known such things earlier on, but I can’t be bothered to look up info on a million

quests in advance. Besides, looking it all up would've slowed me down as well. To solve the issue for you, I've put a guide together. It tells you exactly which quests to do in what order.

This guide is designed to help you quest more efficiently, reduce frustration from having to run back and forth to the same area and streamline your questing.

Please note that this guide includes the Death Knight quests as well as the Outland quests, you'll want to skip the chapters that don't apply to your character.

The quests are presented in chronological order. If you follow them you will save yourself a lot of time normally spent running back and forth.

As it can be a little confusing to use the guide without an explanation, so please check out the following example:

New Quest: 'Pigstabbing'

To follow the above table, you start at the top. 'The Boonies' indicates where you are when you pick up the first quest, which in turn is indicated by New Quest: 'Pigstabbing'.

Dropping down a line, you can see Pigstabbing mentioned again, this time on a yellow background. This indicates that you should actually do this quest now. As is shown under location, Pigstabbing takes place in Pigland (where else?). The (40, 30) depicts the coordinates of Pigland, which I'll get back to later. Lastly, Pigstabbing is a kill quest.

The next quest, Bunnytrampling, has a └ in front of it. This mark indicates that the quest is a followup from the quest above it. In order to get and do Bunnytrampling, you are required to return to The Boonies first.

Bunnytrampling is a kill and collect quest. In the space below quests, you may find extra instructions for a specific quests. You will typically only find those for quests that require some extra details.

I use coordinates (like 40, 30) extensively throughout the guide. They are very useful to find a specific location in the game without having to describe the scenery. In order to make use of this, you will need to install an addon that will display these coordinates on screen.

Examples of addons that do this are SimpleCoordinates, Suki's Minimap Coords or LynLocation.

Summary● The quests are listed in the order in which you should complete them, not in the order

in which you pick them up.● White fields tell you which quests to pick up and may provide additional instructions

for a specific quest.● If a quest has a follow-up after turning it in, always take it unless given a specific

reason not to. Quests with a └ in front of it are a follow-up from the one above it.● If a quest lists a direction under "Location", I assume you are standing at the spot where

you turned your last quest in.

DEATH KNIGHT QUEST GUIDE: ALLIANCE

hen you make a new Death Knight, you will start off in the Ebon Hold, to be given your first quest by the Lich King himself. The quests you do in this Death Knight starting area are fairly straightforward and you really don't want to skip any of

them. Most of them award you gear upgrades and/or missing talent points. W

Ebon HoldQuest Location Type

When you start your DK, you will be looking at the Lich King. He gives you your first quest: 'In Service of the Lich King'

In Service of the Lich King Acherus Speak with└The Emblazoned Runblade Acherus Collect

└Runeforging: Preparation For Battle Acherus Use└The Endless Hunger Acherus Use, kill

└The Eye of Acherus Acherus Speak with └Death Comes From On High Acherus Use └The Might of the Scourge Acherus Speak with

The Emblazoned Runeblade: Loot a sword from one of the nearby weapon racks, then use it near one of the three skeleton-faced runeforges in the room.

Runeforging: Preparation For Battle: Runeforging is sort of a profession. Open up the runeforging window near a runeforge in the room and use to cast Cinderglacier on your sword.

The Endless Hunger: Use one of the Acherus Soul Prisons in the center of the room, wait for the Unworthy Initiate to turn hostile, and then kill him/her.




Death Comes From On High: Use one of the pedestals to the left or right of the Lich King. After your eye arrives at its destination, you can fly it around freely. Use the shroud ability to hide it from sight while you find the buildings you need, they have hunter's mark type arrows above them. Fly to a building with an arrow, cast ghouls on the ground, use the scan ability and fly away. Dot his for all four buildings to complete the quest. The forge and Barracks are found to the north and northeast of town, the chapter and townhall are in the southwest and west. Don't head west beyond the first wall,

as you will enter Tyr's Hand, which will despawn the eye.The Might of the Scourge: Use the purple teleporter on the stairs to get to Mograine.

Report to Scourge Commander Thalanor: Thalanor is found by the telerport with which you arrived on this floor.

The Scarlet Harvest: Use one of the Scourge Gryphons near Thalanor to fly down to Death's Breach.

At 55, 46 you'll find a mailbox.If Chaos Drives, Let Suffering Hold The Reins: Killing peasant is easier than the military

type npc's. Villagers are all running around, no static spawns.Tonight We Dine in Havenshire: If you have trouble finding enough arrows, try the pumpkin

patch to the south at 56, 49Grand Theft Palomino: Finish the above quests before doing so. You can use a horse in the corral

at 56, 41 to get on its back. Make sure that the elite roaming the corral is not nearby, for he will throw you off your horse. Return to Death's Breach on horseback and then use the 'Deliver Stolen

Horse' ability while standing near Salanar the Horseman.

Into the Realm of Shadows Havenshire Kill

Into the Realm of Shadows: Head south to new Havenshire to find a Dark Rider to kill. Use its mount when its dead. Avoid Shadowy Tormentors, those are good for nothing. Return to Death's

Breach and use the Horseman's Call ability.Note: Your mount will be added to your mount collection, accessed by hitting shift-P.

New Quest: 'Gothik the Harvester'

Gothik the Havester Death's Breach Speak with└The Gift That Keeps On Giving Havenshire Mine, east at 58, 31 Use

The Gift That Keeps On Giving: Use the Gift of the Harvester on the miners to kill them. You will either get a ghoul or a ghost to spawn. Ghost must be killed, Ghouls will follow you. Once you

have five ghouls, you will be unable to use the item anymore and can return to Gothik the Harvester at Death's Breach.

An Attack Of Opportunity Death's Breach Speak with└Massacre at Light's Point Havenshire Mine at 58, 33 Use




Massacre at Light 's Point: Use the Inconspicuous mining cart outside the mine's entrance to be transported to Light's Point. Once arrived, use a cannon on the ship. Use the 'Scarlet Cannon' ability to shoot Scarlet Crusaders on the beach. When you end up with Crusaders in melee range, use the

Electro-Magneto Pulse. You can shoot the cannons on the beach too, if they are hurting you too much, though they do respawn kinda fast. Use the skeletal gryphon ride ability when you finish the

objective.Use a Scourge Gryphon to fly up to Acherus

The Path of the Righteous Crusader: The Patrol Schedule is found up one set of stairs, on the table in the main hall.

Brothers in Death: You will find the NPC downstairs, in the Hold's cellar. When you turn this in and accept Bloody Breakout, a bunch of mobs will spawn in waves. Stay inside the anti amgic barrier

the NPC puts up. Deal with melee mobs first, then pull casters in with Death Grip. When the final mob dies, you can loot the remains that fall to the floor to meet the objective, even if someone else tagged him. This means that if the event if already underway when you arrive, you can grab the

quest, help out and finish it, even when not grouped.Return to the Scarlet Tavern

A Meeting With Fate: Mounting up does not make you lose the disguise. Scarlet Armies Approach: Orbaz summons a portal for you to directly teleport to Ebon Hold.

Remember to visit the skill trainers.New Quest: 'The Scarlet Apocalypse'

The Scarlet Apocalypse Death's Breach Speak with└An End To All Things... Death's Breach Use

An End To All Things: After using the horn you get to ride a Frost Wyrm. Use its abilities to meet the quest requirements.

Note: This is your last chance to turn in Crusader Skulls at the plaguel cauldron at Havenshire Farms. After turning this quest in it will no longer be possible.

Fly back to Death's Breach when done.

The Lich King's Command Browman Mill at 34, 30 Speak withNorthwest, to the Noxious Glade. Follow the path.

The Light of Dawn Browman Mill Kill

The Light of Dawn: This quest will start based on a timer, it is completed by a bunch of Death Knights at once. There is a timer on screen showing you when the fight will begin.

During the frenzy, your job is really only to stay alive and have some fun. When you turn The Light of Dawn in, you are transported back to Acherus. There is now a Flight

Master available.




If you did all quests without rested experience, you should be very close to level 58 now. Completing a few quests will get you to 58, which will let you enter Outland. I fully recommend doing so.

You should be friendly now, and able to do the turn-in quests at Light's Hope Chapel.If you want to increase your first aid skill, get your first aid skill up to 290 first. Then, you'll have to travel to Theramore and speak with Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen to do the quest 'Triage'. Note: If you cannot get this quest, someone else is doing it at the time. Wait for them to finish. After turning in

triage, speak to Gustaf to learn Heavy Runecloth Bandage.Next up: Outland




OUTLAND QUEST GUIDE: ALLIANCEhis guide is designed to help you quest more efficiently, reduce frustration from having to run back and forth to the same area and streamline your questing. I have done my best to optimize the Outland chapter of this guide when WotLK came out,

by removing quests that require higher than average time investment. Quests with low drop rates, long travel times or difficult to find mobs have been mostly been cut. Regardless, you can easily make it from 58-68 without running into a forest of grey exclamation marks, even with zero rested experience.

Please note: I recommend you move to Northrend the second you hit level 68. The quests are quite doable at that level , and the quest rewards much better.

To start off, you'll need to make your way to Nethergarde Keep to get to the Dark Portal. When you do, buy a 'Nethergarde Bitter' from Bernie Heisten, who can be found in the Barracks. You'll need the beverage for a quest in Hellfire Peninsula later on.

Before going through the Dark Portal, pick up the quest 'Through the Dark Portal' just outside.

facing, and then head southwest to the ridge north of the Path of Glory for the below quest.After this quest, you can get "Overlord" from Warp-Scryers Kryv in Honor Hold. This is a group quest for 3 people min, and can be skipped. The reward is a nice trinket. It’s best saved until after

you’ve been to Telhamat.

The Exorcism of Colonel Jules: First, a bunch of flying skulls spawn. They have very little health. Use the Ritual Prayer Beads to banish them, or just kill them. After that some slime globes

spawn, which must also be banished or killed. The quest completes when Colonel Jules is lying back on the bed.

You’ve finished the quests in Hellfire Peninsula, and you’re ready to move to Zangarmarsh!However, if you haven’t been there already, dropping by (and binding in) Shattrath is a good idea.

First, enter Zangarmarsh through the large road going westwards. In Zangarmarsh, keep following the road, pass through Cenarion Refuge and carry on along the road west until you reach Telredor at 68, 50, a huge mushroom with an outpost in it. Get the flight path inside, then make your way

back to Cenarion Refuge.Go south from there until you enter Terrokar Forest . Carry on south a little further,

you will spot a bridge leading into a recessed city. Welcome to Shattrath!

turning in the reputation stuff will get you experience the first time.Upon completion, you can choose to ally yourself with the Aldor or Scryers reputation. This choice is

not very important with Northrend's release.It’s not a bad idea to bind in Shattrath at this point, the portals to Azeroths cities, the bank and other

facilities come in handy.

I Must Have Them!: Kill air elementals anywhere in the zone to complete this quest, turn it in whenever you're in the area. The follow-up: 'Bring me the Egg[2]' is rather difficult to solo. If you do

it grouped, here's the trick; stand on the center of the trampoline and click off the floating debuff when you're almost directly over the nest. (Tilt the camera until you're looking directly down.) Make sure you're full health when doing this, you lose almost the entire bar when you miss the nest. When

you loot the egg, a nasty bird will spawn and attack, which is the reason you'd want to not be solo for this.

If you save him, he offers an escort quest, 'Escape from the Staging Grounds', which starts right away.

Captain Tyralius: To free Captain Tyralius, you need a key from a nearby NPC (Warden Icoshock) standing by a bunch of large purple orbs. (Ethereum prisoncells)

Tyralius’s cell isn’t among those, but it can be found a little westwards.










Remaining in Netherstorm are several Aldor and Scryers quests that require a fair bit of travel and 'Special delivery to Shattrath', which is a turn-in only quest.

After turning your remaining quests in, the quest chain beginning with 'Mission of Mercy' starts. This quest is easy to do, the follow-ups are meant for increasing your reputation with the

Consortium.

NORTHREND QUEST GUIDE – ALLIANCE

orthrend has two zones designed for level 68 and up, Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord. This means you have to choose which zone to get started in, as both are equally viable. If you're getting started in Northrend at level 68, you will probably

need to quest through both zones. If you're starting off at level 70, you can choose to skip one. Quest-wise, the zones are about equal. However, its worth noting that Borean Tundra has better quest rewards for Death Knights. Because of that, this quest guide starts off there. Borean Tundra is reached from Stormwind Harbor. You can reach Howling Fjord by taking the boat from Theramore.

One last thing to keep in mind; Borean Tundra will likely be more heavily populated than Howling Fjord because Stormwind is more easily reached than Theramore.

Fuel for the Fire: This quest is relatively easily done, as long as you do it right. For one, grouping up with others doing this quest helps a ton. Second, put your abominations on passive when you

charm them. Use it to gather a bunch of trolls, sending it from troll to troll and using the stun ability whenever its up to prevent it getting hurt. When its getting dangerous (ie your abom takes too much

dmaage) blow them all up and go back for a new pet. Remember that using any offensive ability breaks your disguise. You have to use the abomination for all kills.

One that purely deals damage, one that stuns Drakuru for 5 seconds and one that will heal you. The trick to beating this even is staying away from the crystals Drakuru throws at you. This is easier when you stay a fair distance away from him. Use all three of the trolls abilities whenever

Quick and risky: Round up a crapton of mobs (while mounted), summon the abomination and use explode.

Slow and safe: Same method as the similar quest in Zul'Drak. Put the abomination on passive and send it from mob to mob while spamming the stun abiity. Explode it when you've collected a lot of

mobs.Return to The Skybreaker

Leading the Charge: This mission is slightly complex. The bomber has three modes of operation; Repair, Bombing and Anti-Air, each with diffetent abilities. You must switch to bombard mode to hit targets on the ground, and then go to anti-air when you're being attacked by gargoyles. Lastly, the

Need More Info: The Cult Researchers are found inside the building around 52, 30. Kill them until you have all three pages, and then combine them.

Retest Now: Once you have 10 Tainted Essences, combine them and toss the result into one of the three cauldrons you visited earlier at 48 32

The Sum is Greater than the Parts: Nergeld has five abilities: AE Stun, AE knockback, single target damage and an ability to pull a mob to him.

Use the AE stun and knockback abilities on the regular mobs that spawn. When Dr. Terrible spawns at the end, you'll mainly need to use the single target damage ability on him. I recommend also using the AE knockback. After using a knockback, wait until Dr. Terrible gets up before pulling him to you

to get some single target hits in. (if you don't, the pull ability fails) Dr. Terrible can heal, use the knockback or stun AE to interrupt it, or the pull ability if he's not in range.

away again. Rinse, repeat. Shoot 'Em Up: Head to the north of Njorndar Village and control a gun at 28, 32. You have to

shoot the drakes down in one barrage, so save up a good amount of energy and let the closest ones have it.

Vile Like Fire!: Hop on one of the proto drakes around 27, 38 and use it to set fire to the buildings.

The next followup is a 5 man group quest, 'The Ironwall Rampart 'In terms of solo quests, you're done with Icecrown, and in fact, the whole of

Northrend now.You should be level 80 by now!
