Transcript of WOW! Magazine Issue 1
Introduction
WOW! Magazine’s main
purpose is to help you
with the latest fashion
trends, not only on
IMVU but in real life
too! Anything you need
they’ve got.
WOW! Magazine was
founded on the 10th of
July 2012 by two
friends,
Blondybabe2010 &
123youandme123,
after their discussion
of article topics for a
competition. The girls
were flushed by ideas and spent days thinking over and over about
what ideas would work and what wouldn’t. Eventually they decided to
create their own magazine. It was hard picking a name but, they
decided to call the magazine WOW! Magazine. It was a no brainer.
The girls began editing and writing for days and eventually, all their
hard work had paid off. Issue 1 of WOW! Magazine was complete.
The girls, who call themselves The Fashion Cops, have set out to stop
your fashion crimes once and for all!
Body Shapes
Have you ever wondered what style of clothing suits your body best? Have
you ever found it hard to get clothes to fit your body! Not to worry! I've got
the steps and solutions for you!
Step one:
Pick your body's shape:
a) Are you a rectangle? (Straight body shape like a ruler)
b) Are you a pear? (Narrow at the top and wider at the bottom)
c) Are you an apple? (Heavy at the top and narrow at the bottom)
d) Are you an hourglass? (Bust and hips are in balance)
Step two:
Finding the right styles of clothing:
a) A rectangle is proportioned, with heavy limbs and a straight
enough waist. You may have a regularly small bust too. You
should try and define your waist and then some sexy curves on
top;) You should try going for higher necklines to enhance your
bust. To show off your curves why not add a belt to an outfit?
Try wearing some tighter clothing to enhance your curves and
bust line.
b) The pear shaped body is the most common shaped body! With
this shape you want to focus more on your top half and try
balance your bust and hips. Baggy or less tightened skirts and
bottoms will decrease the heaviness of your hips and thighs. If
you're choosing a dress try not make it tight, again try get it
baggier or even looser at the bottom:) Low neck lined tops draw
much attention to your bust as a pear shape. Patterns and vibrant
colours work well with your shape too!
c) Firstly NEVER wear a large pattern! It won't do anything for you!
If your bust is big enough why not draw some attention to it? V-
necks will work best. For the bottom half of yourself A-line skirts
are the next big thing for you. Skirts that go to just above your
knee will look delightfully beautiful with your figure. Long jackets
are a MUST HAVE to create a cleaner looking line on your body.
d) As an hourglass your bust and hips usually are around the same
size. You’re lucky to have killer curves I'll tell you that. Most tops
will work perfectly on your body , but try draw some attention to
your waste to outline your curves! Wear low lined necks to show
off your bust. I wouldn't advise you to wear patterns. Patterns
make you look bigger. Stick to solid colours! Unlike the apple, the
hourglass needs shorter jackets so you can show off your killer
curves;). As for the bottom half anything will go! High waisted
jeans and shorts are something you really should go for to
enhance your waist. High waist tight skirts will do it all for you
and are an essential for the hourglass shape!
Step three:
Now that you have had a crash course on your body shape go and find the
perfect clothes that will make you look even more glamorous than you already
are!

Colours of the season:
Pinks, purples, yellows, greens and light blues. Anything pastel is defo’s the way to go!

IMVU Nails:
On IMVU our creators have made a wide range of nails for you to buy, from blues, to
reds, from flowers to flags, you can find any pattern/colour you want! Such creators
as MissC, Ellen, IIMoGII and Scarlett along with many others!
Nail polishes available to purchase:
Some great places you can purchase real nail polish are Boots and QVC selling brands
like Nails Inc. , O.P.I and Leighton Denny.
Tips:
When putting on nail polish you need to be really careful.
1- When painting the first coat, don’t use a lot of nail polish, just a little for each
nail. Leave it to dry, timings are different depending on which brands of nail
polish you use.
2- After the first coat has completely dried and can be touched without smudging,
then add the 2nd coat. This time use a lot more polish so it covers the nail
easily without having to re-apply. Leave to dry for longer.
HANDY HINT
When going out, always put your nail polish on last! Never apply
beforehand as you can smudge it very easily if you do not leave it to
dry!
Patterns:
Patterns on nails can be very hard to do depending on the pattern. It’s good to have
nail polishes with thinner brushes, this way it makes it easier to draw on your nails let’s
say.
