God Exposes Our Need 1 Corinthians 2:14 (NASB) Reverend David Barnes
But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We Confess Our Sin
Christ Provides for Our Need 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 (NASB) But the one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is discerned by no one. "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

*God Reveals Effectual Calling! Westminster Larger Catechism Q & A No. 67Pastor: What is effectual calling? People: Effectual calling is the work of God’s almighty power and grace, by
which, out of his free and special love to his elect and from nothing in them moving him to it, he does, in his accepted time, invite and draw them to Jesus Christ, by his word and Spirit; savingly enlightening their minds, renewing and powerfully determining their wills, so that they, although in themselves dead in sin, are thus made willing and freely able to answer his call, and to accept and embrace the grace offered and conveyed in it.
