Pray for the many challenges of and opportunities for the Church. Expressions of oneness in Christ are increasing. Pray that believers might press into true unity and that Christians’ love for one another might attract many to Christ.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). One of the greatest joys for Christians is being able to give cheerfully, generously, and sacrificially. There is tremendous satisfaction that comes from seeing the fruits of our labor multiplied many times over in the lives of others. Money is a powerful thing, and when we use it well, it has potential to do incredible good. We hope that we’re able to excel in the grace of giving. And so having been found faithful with little, God will be pleased to entrust us with more.

Student Choir Concert Series

Join us tonight at 6:30pm at the Oaks Church (508 N. River Rd., Denham Springs) for the first of three concerts our Student Choir will be performing in their Southeast Louisiana concert series.

Parenting in the Pew

Parents that have children promoting to Pre-K and 2nd grade should make plans now to attend “Parenting in the Pew.” The first session is this morning during the Sunday School hour, and the next session will be held next Sunday, July 21st. During this time, we will discuss the importance of having children in the worship gathering and to help you with training your child “in the pew.” See Lyn Bailey for more information.

Kids on Mission

Wednesdays this summer, kids ages 3yrs to 6th grade will join us as we go around town serving others. Kids on Mission will start @ 6:00pm each week.

Summer Playdate

Meet us this Friday, July 19th at 10am at Oak Grove Community Park for a fun time of fellowship.

Student Ministry House Church

Those who have completed 6th grade and up are invited to attend WBC’s summer House Church this Wednesday, July 17th @ 6pm. Join us for our summer apologetics series along with swimming, games, food, drinks, and more. This week, House Church will be held at Frankie & Rhonda Johnson’s home (9469 S. Vignes Rd., Baton Rouge 70817). Check the schedule weekly for future House Church locations. The vans will leave the church at 5:45pm each week.

Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC)

Do you want a better grasp on God’s Word so that you are able to know it and apply it better? In the Spring of 2020, Woodlawn Baptist Church will be partnering with a number of local churches to provide counseling and discipleship training. This training time will be designed to equip people to be better handlers of God’s Word in counseling and discipleship situations. If you are interested, see Bro. Travis for more information.

Total Church Life Leadership Conference

This year the Total Church Life Leadership Conference will be on Saturday, August 17th at Florida Blvd. Baptist Church. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jeff Iorg, President of Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary. The conference will be from 8:30am until 1:00pm followed by lunch. Before August 9th, the cost is $25.
